The property couldn't be better located placed - opposite a Spar, fab cafe and entrances to walks. Gatehouse of Fleet is a lovely town with more lovely restaurants/cafes than I imagined.

Despite being quite near to a main road, the cottage is surprisingly quiet and secluded. The decor is a mix of traditional fittings and smart stylish furnishings. Petra gave us a very warm welcome and is available for any queries during the stay. A great base to enjoy the dark skies of the Galloway National Forest, the hills, lochs, harbours and quiet beaches along the local coastline.

East Lodge is very well situated in the peaceful Galloway countryside, but only 5 minutes drive or 15 minutes walk (along a private path by the river) from Newton Stewart and its facilities. The property is modern (or newly renovated) with a good range of kitchen/dining facilities, a good shower, good quality TV, and sizeable bedrooms. For us it was a good base both for walking and cycling. Useful information on local walks was provided. We were also very fortunate with the weather.
For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately, or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Often available for short and long-term.
Very nice apartment. Great location. Wigtown is a lovely village and beautiful countryside with some nice cycling and on the doorstep of the 7 stones mountain bike and walking trails.
From meeting the host, Max, there was little to complain about. Everything was in the apartment to make our stay perfect, including little extras like milk and biscuits!
The apartment was very comfortable and surprisingly spacious. We appreciated the extras like fresh milk and cookies. Located in the heart of Wigtown it was ideal for exploring the many bookshops and also surrounding area.
Perfect location and a comfortable little room which was ideal for a short stay! Having tea, coffee, milk and even some biscuits provided was a lovely touch too.
The room was cosy, clean, and comfortable, and it was ideally suited for browsing the bookshops and visiting the bird hide. The kitchen facilities were adequate for our short stay, and the key lock made it convenient for us to check in easily even though we turned up a little late.
