Lovely views overlooking Scalloway and the inlet, in an historic building and location (check out the history board near the flat). The flat is clean and well equipped and Michael supplies some handy basics to get you going while you settle in. Michael is a lovely host and will help you plan your stay with lots of information on what to do and where to go. Scalloway is a great location with cafes, convenience stores and a castle. It is only a 10min drive from Lerwick with regular buses.
Self catering, very well equipped. Warm on the cold days and just about perfect. The main bed mattress was very soft, so as a solo stay I opted for the harder single which was perfect and conscious of my 'footprint' kept the cleaning to the minimum. I would highly recommend for families who would make full use of the space available. The hosts sent a welcoming and informative message before my arrival so I knew exactly where everything was etc. Easy and comfortable. Thank you,
Mark is a great host, quick to repond to emails and recommended some nice walks to do in the area. Flat is really spacious and heats up quickly for when you come home from wet and windy walks. Convenience store below flat which was handy when weather was too bad to travel to bigger shops. Lots of nice local walks you can start from the accomodation or some a 10 minute drive away. Really nice way to spend new year!
