Helen's cottage was perfect for our short stay in Oundle. The cottage was extremely clean and is well located, just off the high street and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Helen provided milk, chocolates, tea and coffee on arrival and communication was smooth throughout.
The apartment has been furnished and decorated to a very high standard, and everything in it is of top quality.
In particular, the upstairs bedroom is very quiet, very private and comfortable for a great night's sleep,
The host is superb, with great communication and rapid responses.
Loved our short stay here...we were attending an event so just 1 night but we would certainly go back given a chance. Friendly staff, lovely comfortable room with some great welcoming touches like radio on when you step in the room, a welcome note on the pad and a rubber duck in the bathroom. Felt instantly relaxed after a horrible drive through torrential rain to get there.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Talbot Hotel in Oundle whilst visiting friends in Peterborough. The building was lovely and interesting, and the staff was very welcoming. Our basic room was spacious and clean, but my only criticism was the hard and flat pillows. They could be replaced to ensure a better night's sleep.
We enjoyed cocktails at the bar, which were well-made, inventive and tasty.
