For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately, or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Often available for short and long-term.
Location was within walking distance of family, woodland walks and cafes/restaurants. Was given the garden apartment due to repairs in original accommodation booked, this had the added bonus of a private garden which with the good weather we used a lot. Well looked after and clean apartment, with all the facilities needed for a self catering holiday.
Location, location, location. Staying in the top floor apartment, the room with a view was just stunning 😍 Great, that the parking is available as the streets are very narrow. Overall, it was a good flat.

The Penthouse Apartment was beautiful definitely had the ‘Wow’ factor. Tastefully decorated well equipped Kitchen …Lovely views of the river right opposite . Celebrated my Birthday 🎁 here with friends and had the best time ever. Paid extra for Breakfast but it was delicious, huge and totally worth it!!💕
Clean top floor apartment with a nice sitting area with a good view in addition to the sitting room. Everything we needed for a short stay. The flat is sparsely furnished but with all we required. Good parking. Easy access. About 10 minutes walk to the centre. Quiet street.Uphill on the way back!
Unfortunately the Malthouse had recently had a fire through the premises. But fortunately for us they had a apartment block next door which they moved us to and upgraded our room to the Penthouse which was fabulous.
Great modern apartment, excellent facilities and very clean. There was also a welcome plate of freshly-baked flapjacks waiting for us upon arrival. Very close to cafes, museums and other local attractions.
Excellent 'Penthouse Suite' which was actually an apartment in itself. Quite recently refurbished, excellent amenities including fridge and kitchen facilities, large clean modern bathroom. Breakfast available form 7 am(did not try this) but evening meal in the Malthouse was lovely and reasonable priced.
