The barge has been decorated in an eclectic style but in very good taste. The hosts , Ben and Soraya are on site and very helpful.The setting on the river is idyllic. You feel you are in the countryside and yet are very close to Avignon. A nearby farm sells fresh fruit, eggs and wine. There are otters in the river. My little modern apartment was perfect for the 2 days I was there. It had everything I needed: mini kitchen, laundry and even a private balcony! Just down the street a block is an intersection with some restaurants (fancier and fast food), a convenience store, tabac, pharmacy, and boulangerie. It's like a mini town with a little bit of everything. And there are many bus lines servicing the area so it was easy for me to get to the Gare Avignon and Avignon TGV stations.
Quiet place outside the city but easy to reach by car. Very spacious room/apartment. Air conditioning available. Beautiful pool for swimming in the garden. Safe parking. Good breakfast, with indoor and outdoor options. Friendly and attentive host. Inexpensive for the amount of services and the spacy room, cheaper than comparable alternatives. The best accommodation during our 8-days travel through south-eastern France. We were sorry that the next days we stayed overnight in Nimes, we should have booked two nights there instead.
We stayed 1 night on our way back from vacation. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was very good. The sound insulation of the rooms is not very good. You should definitely visit the city of Avignon. Although it is not ideal for a long stay, it is good for a short stay. I can say that it is a price/performance hotel.
Jean Luc, the host and owner, is so hospitable and friendly! You immediately feel at home when you come to this place. We loved the apartment and fully equipped kitchen, the beautiful pool, the pool house, free breakfast, the property grounds were beautiful, staff was so friendly, and comfortable beds! The breakfast was incredible and it was so much fun meeting other guests as well.
Jean-Luc is a born host. He makes the stay so accommodating and comfortable. The grounds are quiet and relaxing and the apartment was spacious and comfortable.
