The owner Frank was very welcoming and showed me around the rooms and explained all the facilities. Very nice guy and we had a good chat about the local area.

Magnificent! Everything was there when I arrived in the evening, cookies, sweeties, apples. In the morning, yogurts, orange juice, a full baguette with butter and several marmelades, a croissant, a chocolat bread! And the coffee, one of the best I ever tasted. Could not believe I was entitled to all this.

The gite was spotless, had a modern kitchen, very comfortable bed, cable TV with some options in English, good internet connection and was nicely decorated. Outside there was a covered seating area, BBQ and a small above ground pool. Nice view of the chateau in La Rochefoucauld from the garden. Property situated in a quiet area only a 15/20 minute walk to the cafés, bars, boulangeries and restaurants in La Rochefoucauld. Lovely Chocolaterie on the main road within 5 minutes walk. Hosts were friendly, but not intrusive. They offer a breakfast service, but we didn't use this.
Overall, a small but perfectly adequate place for a short holiday.

The location was perfect, this modern apartment in a converted French farmhouse is located in its original shaded courtyard complete with barn and boarded up well. It stands in beautiful, quiet, and spacious gardens and there a superb views of the surrounding countryside as you walk around these. The birds sang enthusiastically during our whole stay.
