We chose this guesthouse because there wasn't anything available in Nerja but what we didn't expect was that we would end up wanting to spend more time in our accommodation than on the beach! The location is beautiful and very peaceful- surrounded by lovely hills and amazing views. The bedrooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, with toys for the kids and boardgames for everyone. The bathrooms were spacious too and extremely clean with enough towels to tide you over for a month. The well stocked kitchen and living room are shared living spaces, but because we went with another family staying in another room, we had the place to ourselves. There is a large pool with salt water for guests to cool off in, outdoor tables on the decks and the cherry on top was a hammock and swing chair! Our hosts Patrick and Marlene were extremely kind and helpful. If you are looking to "get away from it all" then I highly recommend this place!

Low season was the perfect opportunity to enjoy romantic country getaway. Maybe we couldn’t use every possibility, because of the language barrier, but one garden and pool was more than enough. Use google translate and it is a place with filmlike atmosphere.

The room was very modern and spacious. We enjoyed using the roof terrace in the evening. It was well shaded and had nice comfortable seats. The breakfast was an added bonus. Overall a great value place to stay.

The apartment was extremely clean and perfect location for the beach and restaurants etc. The Host was very friendly and very accommodating. Balcony got the sun all evening. Everything we needed was supplied in the apartment.

Castillo de Zalia Conjunto Rural is located in a tranquil location with fabulous views of the Med & just a short drive to the coast. The road to get there is paved & in excellent condition. The fenced garden area of our apartment was ideal for us to relax & our dogs to enjoy with us.

Amazing hosts could not do enough for us our stay in alcacin made all the better by their friendly and kind natures. Apartment modern and spotless beautiful views of the mountains and close to all local amenities. Pool was a delight

The views are amazing and the property is of a high standard with a well maintained swimming pool , the location is rural so a rental car is a must as all amenities are not within walking distance which suits us as we love the peace and quiet.
Alfonso the manager of the property is great and very helpful.
Whilst we had booked a double room at the hotel, when we arrived, we were notified they only had a twin room available. The other option was a stand-alone apartment away from the main hotel. The apartment had its bowl terrace and kitchenette. We opted for the apartment.
This did mean that we didn't end up really using or seeing the main hotel.
Lovely location up in Alcaucin (we were visiting family up there) amazing views over the mountains. Especially when thunderstorms came over!
