This is a little gem! Such good value for money.
It is so clean, comfortable and decorated to the highest of standards. The facilities are great: the pool is open until 5pm for all (then 5-7pm for ladies only), the kitchen is fully equipped and practical, the bathroom is spacious, the balcony has a clothes drying rack, the Wi-Fi is good.
There is an Alrayah market to the right (on Al Gezira Street) which is priced well and has a good selection of things. I found it was best to mention this supermarket to taxi drivers/tour companies in terms of directions/location finding.
The host was very welcoming with all the information that I needed. He even accommodated for our 4am check-out.
I would recommend downloading the Careem app to book your transfer from the airport - this is the cheapest and easiest option for a taxi.

The property is just so private with high stone walls surrounding the house with a new pool in the courtyard. It’s modern European design and has lovely lantern style lighting inside and out. It looks so magical at night. I love that I had the entire villa to myself and could just shut out the world and relax. It’s very secure and I love the wrought iron gates. They are also covered so no one can see in. The lounge room and dining room are spacious and the lounge is so comfortable and can be converted to a bed if you have more guests than the 3 beds available. I loved my master bedroom which has an ensuite and also enjoyed the bath in the main bathroom after taking a dip in the pool. It was amazing to have such an affordable property totally to myself. The kitchen has all new modern appliances so I could cook my own evening meal from local produce that Ahmed helped me to purchase from the nearby village. You can walk to the Nile in 5 minutes through beautiful banana palms. The locals are wonderful and invited me in for tea. It’s such a lovely rural area and very laid back. The neighbours are always giving me a smile and hello. I felt really welcome. It has a laundry with washing machine and a clothes airer and it was great to get all my washing done at no cost as I had been travelling for a few days. Overall a wonderful experience staying at Twilight Palace.

Noby was a great host!!! He took care of us amazingly, drove us to all the places we wanted to visit, fed us at his place with great food (fish tajine was delicious) and gave us great tips for our stay in Luxor and Hurghada.
