Our host Marlies was very kind and friendly. She greeted us and showed us around with the brightest smile ! Her place is spacious, clean and very comfortable. This beautiful family-owned B&B ("Pension") is located on a scenic plateau above the town of Bischofswiesen near Berchtesgaden (a 15-minute drive away) and a little off the beaten path. You definitely need a car to get there via some one-lane dirt roads (which are very safe, though). They also have new electric vehicle charging stations in case you drive an EV. The owners are super-friendly, very engaging, and incredibly responsive. From what I could tell, they speak English rather well, so if you don't know German, you should be fine. What we enjoyed most about the place is how quiet it was - at times, all we heard were the wind and some cowbells. If you have children, there is a small playground; and because it's at the end of the road, parents seem to feel comfortable letting their kids run free. We were also amazed at the quality of the WiFi: we had excellent reception with 200+ mbps! The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Since my husband is gluten-intolerant, we ended up bringing GF bread we bought at the store and which were able to keep in a common fridge next to the breakfast room. Please keep in mind that only breakfast is served and that most rooms - unless you book an apartment - don't have a kitchenette, so you'll have to drive 5-10 minutes or so to find a place for dinner. (We went to Brenner-Bräu several times; it's nearby, and the food is tasty.)
