Shanghai hotels are pricey, so I opted for a homestay. It's in a great neighborhood, with green spaces and amenities. The landlord is kind. The room has essentials like tissues, slippers, disinfectant, and a kitchenette. Large windows offer a view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. It's close to Yuyuan Garden and the Shanghai Old Street, accessible by subway to avoid traffic.

Singapore
The spaciousness of the apartment gave a good sense of relaxation and bliss of the mind, body and soul. The gym, lounge and the Mexican and Japanese restaurants look very good, but unfortunately didn't have time to visit them. Location-wise, it is not too far from the bustling streets and eating places, yet it is tucked in a peaceful, less busy enclave - best of both worlds for me.
