The host welcomed us at 1:00 p.m., even though the reservation was from 3:00 p.m., which was very nice.
This place could be a little paradise, but it's very neglected (old cigarette butts in an ashtray, dirty bedding behind the bed, unpleasant cold bathroom, sticky furniture surfaces).

We appraciated this clean and spacious apartment, fully furnished and equipped. It comes with a terrace and parking place in front of the house. The proximity to the thermal spa is wonderful, really only a 2 min walk. The communication with the owner was easy and forthcoming. I came to Niederösterreich for a longer time period because of work reasons. I stayed at various accomodations, but Scheinerhaus is simply the BEST in the region. The apartment is truly stylish: combining traditional architecture with modern elements, like trendy glass doors for the bathroom. Lighting and light design is also smartly designed. The kitchen is equipped with high quality dishwasher, electric hotplates, refrigerator, coffee machine, electric kettle, egg cooker, toaster and microwave. Everything is meticulously clean. Sonja and Michael are super friendly hosts! The Scheinerhaus is a perfect choice for a short holiday as well as for longer stays.

There is this super nice owner of the property who lives literally next door and provides for virtually anyhing one could need. It is a bit unusual to offer breakfasts in an apartment-rent setting, however, having pre-bought frozen buns, capsule coffee, cereals, hams, and cheeses ready in the morning was a more than welcomed addition to our stay. We traveled to Staatz mainly to enjoy biking with our kids and for that the location is great. More locally, there is a reasonable restaurant nearby and Spar groceries store on the opposite side of the road. The garden was pleasant and well cared for, occasionally with 2 friendly dogs running around. The disposition of the apartment is well-picked with enough storage, a reasonably large bathroom, and main and secondary bedrooms (sofa bed in the kitchen) separated by a small hallway. There are also books and desk games and the property if the weather does not turn right during the stay.
For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately, or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal.
