The whole atmosphere felt great. The hotel and the apartment itself felt very fancy. Everything was very clean and the apartment had everything we needed (e.g. an extra room for the luggages, a seperate toilet, key cards, a quite refrigarator). The staff was very friendly, responded very quickly and was able to answer all our questions. The train- and bus-station Takeda is also very close which was very convenient.

Location was away from crowds and had a great view of Kyoto Tower, right down the road from Kiyomizu Dera. A little farther walk to the train station then I thought but all in all I would stay here again. The room was big and it was clean! Secure premises and safe, not very big hotel which was nice. Staff was helpful and courteous.

We were surprised at how the kitchen was equipped with utensils, plates, bowls and anything you needed to cook with, even tho we didn’t cook it was nice option to have. Always handy to have a fridge, microwave and toaster oven handy. Able to eat as soon as we got up to get our day going, and always had snacks ready for our late night cravings. The size was great, having travelled with 3 kids. It was clean. Location was great! We would love to come back again and for sure will come stay here!

I liked the lighting. I liked the hotel because it was a nice quiet area.

A bicycle rental service is available at the aparthotel. We liked everything. It is a wonderful place to stay while in Kyoto. I wish all our hotels had been the same while traveling through Japan. They really took every detail into consideration when putting everything together here. The hotel is new construction, but traditional style. Very quiet location despite being so so close to an sim street where you can take many buses to visit different parts of Kyoto. And so close to the touristic part of Gion. We booked the two bedroom apartment, very spacious for what we have seen in Japan. We had a small but perfectly equipped kitchen, a washing/drying machine, with soap and conditioner and clear instructions on how to use it; a fully equipped traditional bathroom (a delight after a full day of sightseeing), an iron and clothes freshener in the cupboard, two big wardrobes, courtesy umbrellas, a Netflix connection, they even gift you some delicious green tea on arrival. We really enjoyed our stay. And the staff is really nice and helpful. Thanks specially to Takase-San, who always took the time to answer all our questions and assisted us on anything we asked for. I definitely recommend this ryokan for your stay in Kyoto. Absolutely worth it.
