Studios and apartments at Makares are air conditioned and open out to a balcony or terrace. They include a kitchen or kitchenette and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Great host (Loukas) - provided transport to and from the ferry, facilitated a quick check-in and gave us the island basics. Makares is just a short walk to the center of the village. Great seaview, clean - as advertised. Felt comfortable to spend a couple of days there.

The customer service is exceptional with continuous checking and offer to help well beyond what can be expected: Eirini offered to buy the straps for my postcards as the post office was open only for a few hours a day.
