Ideal for travellers who want their own space and don’t need frills. Aparthotels/serviced apartments have some hotel facilities like a reception desk but are self-catered with a place to cook (e.g. a kitchenette). This suite-style accommodation usually has more than 10 units per property.
The Casa Azul is a small, cozy hostel with a home-like atmosphere. Antonio was a very friendly and attentive host. Perfect location in Sintra - convenient to restaurants, Pingo grocery store, and the train and bus stations.
There was no breakfast included. It was self-catering. The kitchen was fully equipped - so we could cook our breakfast. For other meals too. Isabel gave us recommendations for restaurants nearby. One of them did takeaway - which worked beautifully for the four of us.
Beautiful boutique hotel service with grand design and special rooms. The staff were incredible, very attentive, flexible/ true five star service. The location is right in the centre of Sintra and perfect for exploring.

The view is spectacular! Cosy but modern sea side cottage.
We really appreciated the early check in as we were travelling with a toddler. There is everything you need for self catering. The bed was very confortable. Just be aware that it’s best to have a car (there is a bus stop only a few meters away though) to explore the nearby beaches.
This is a very nice home-like place. The room was super clean and everything was organized well. The breakfast was cute & delicious and served on a table in the breakfast room.
Stylish and cosy self-catering apartment in the heart of the Sintra old town. Just opposite the national palace, 15 min walk away from Regaleira park and Setais palace, approx. 45 min walk to Moorish castle. Windows are facing to the small alley, which is quite busy in the day time but calm in the evening. Pots, pans etc for cooking, basic oil and salt for cooking, a Nespresso coffee machine with capsules. A smallish TV with a set-top box, plenty of channels. Wifi working fine. Everything you need to feel comfortable.
We were a big group staying one night only, and Marco went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and made sure that we had a great weekend. Thanks Marco for being a great host!
The apartments are decorated in a very nice taste, and I also must highlight the cleanliness that was one of the best I have seen in a long time in an apartment hotel!
