Ideal for travelers who want their own space and don’t need frills. Condo hotels/serviced apartments have some hotel facilities like a reception desk but include kitchen facilities for a place to cook (e.g. a kitchenette). These suite-style accommodations usually have more than 10 units per property.
The location in the old town was great, right in the centre of things. The apartment was old, quirky, and very spacious, although a little dark. It has basic self-catering facilities - toastie maker, coffee maker, fridge, microwave - so you can make snacks and drinks, but not proper meals. This isn't an issue if you can get out to one of the restaraurants, or bars, but more of a challenge if you arrive on a national holiday or when the supermarkets are shut. Just something to note.
