It was super clean, comfortable, homely, beautifully decorated and for us perfectly located in the old town. Our host was immensely accommodating. It really is a special place.
This new apartment property is located just 800 metres from the golden, sandy beaches of Peñíscola, and is built around 3 outdoor swimming pools.

Very comfortable apartment with kitchenette with microwave. We watched T.V. channels with origional language. Housekeeping came in daily and did a great job with beds made. We slept well. Big new supermarket close by. We enjoyed our stay.
Aparthotel Acuasol is a 5-minute walk from the beach in Peñiscola, on the Costa del Azahar. It has a terrace and outdoor pool, which is open during the summer months.
Aparthotel Acuazul is on the beachfront, 2 km from Peñíscola Old Town and Castle. It offers a large spa with a floatarium, and free access to Acualandia Water Complex.

We liked the hotel overall, although you need to know in advance some things. This area appeared to be a quite local tourist area. There are mainly Spanish people (with a bit of French too). As a result, no one speaks English anywhere. In the hotel, only the receptionists spoke English. Other stuff only Spanish. Shops, taxis, restaurants -- only Spanish.
The hotel itself is kind of Budget (or maybe Economy) class. On one side you have everything, on the other side, options are very limited and cheap-looking. For example, food in the restaurant (we had full board) -- you have food, but only very limited choice, compared to any other hotels in Spain that we've been. We never took deserts, because there were nothing to choose from. People in the hotel were mainly old Spanish people, very few kids. The restaurant is extremely crowded -- a table is difficult to find. But stuff in the restaurant is very friendly and responsive, they really work very hard and try to make everything for you. Big thanks to them, we liked them a lot.
We had an apartment with 1 bedroom. It was OK (again, everything is kind of budget). We had a small kitchen, but no kettle, and extremely small amount of cutlery and dishes (all 2x). Maîtresses were good (on the main bed). Cleaning is very good. However, the new towels sometimes had dirty spots on them.
The hotel has a game room with 2 Playstations. A big plus was the price we paid. We were satisfied with the price/quality ratio. As for the town itself -- there is hardly anything to do in the area if you need some entertainment. You probably need a car to visit places that are somewhat far away. The city has a nice fortress with the old town, that's basically it. On the other hand, you can enjoy some nice walks along the sea and relax.
Aparthotel Acualandia and Spa is located 100 metres from the beach in Peñíscola. It offers free access to swimming pools and water slides complex, 200 metres away, open from mid-June to mid-September....

Excellent ventilation in the rooms, which is adjusted to your needs. Always fresh food and a huge variety of fish and seafood. Excellent water pressure in the shower at all times.
We love this hotel as a family.
We have stayed in this hotel for three years in a row for summer holidays.
Ideal for travellers who want their own space and don’t need frills. Aparthotels/serviced apartments have some hotel facilities like a reception desk but are self-catered with a place to cook (e.g. a kitchenette). This suite-style accommodation usually has more than 10 units per property.
