Very modern exterior and lobby design, yet a touch of traditional Japanese interior.
Spacious interior with washer/dryer.
Onsen was great! Must try.
Very centralized location in town. Many good attractions and restaurants within walking distance.
Sheltered carpark available.
Second time staying here, good rate from booking.com. Rooftop baths (indoor and outdoor) are the top features. Very nice japanese style hotel with tatami throughout, very comfortable and quiet sleep on deep futon mattress.
Nice Japanese style rooms, hot springs and bike rental available. They even bring you hot water to your room so you can make tea (available in the room).
Great modern hotel, welcome drink on arrival, clean rooms. Breakfast was great!! great selection, combination of European bakery / yogurt and Japanese style options, fresh fruits. there are family hot baths on the roof top on first come first serve, a great way to relax after a day of walking!
The room was tiny for 3 people, but we only stayed 1 night so it was ok. With more nights and more luggage (we only had medium-sized backpacks) it would have been tricky to move around.
I loved the common area of the hotel and the breakfast was great: typical Japanese. It was not super touristy, we were the only Europeans staying at that time, I think. The staff was helpful and welcoming.
We enjoyed the window view, though narrow.
The location is great, quiet, off the main road, but 5 minutes away from the station.
We loved our 3 nights at Cocomock House. Staying in a traditional (yet bright and modern) style Japanese home was great. It's peaceful and relaxing, has a lovely sitting area with hammocks, and it's absolutely spotless. Just a short drive to the hot springs further up the road, and just a 30 min drive from Takayama. Our hosts were super friendly and very helpful. We highly recommend Cocomock!
The staff is very nice and helpful. The room is very nice and our room has a private Onsen bathe which I like very much. The hotel has a good traditional Japanese style breakfast which allows you to try out the different Japanese dishes. Location is very good as it is just 5 mins walk from the hirayu onsen bus terminal to explore kamikochi.
A very unique hostel in a traditional Japanese style inn. The staff were lovely and very helpful at showing me around and recommending local restaurants
This is a very comfortable small boutique hotel located within 10 mins walk of both the train / bus station as well as the major sites such as old town.
Staff were very friendly and the room which we booked was good size for Japanese standards with a good amount of storage.
The included breakfast was good and for the two nights we were there, was differed slightly on each morning which was a nice touch.
Renovated by a hotel chain (Tabist), Kazeyuki offers a basic ryokan experience (without the meals) in the middle of the Japanese alps. The private baths were the highlight of our stay. If the baths were public, they could become a cluster and spread Covid. So I loved that this hotel provided the baths as private for guests in a first come first serve system. We could enjoy them with peace of mind. There are 4 baths available so there was always vacancy. The room was spacious and quiet.
