Villa Walton Bed & Breakfast offers accommodations within a historic homestead, established in 1904. From the first moment I parked, I felt comfortable and at-home in Neil and Sue's lovely spot. Both are top-class people, the type you want to hang out with. The property itself is perfection. Wild flowers, chirping birds, the smell of honey suckle in the air, all of nature accompanies your stay. I stayed in the Cottage, which offered nice privacy and lovely quarters, but each of their individual bedrooms in the main house are lovely as well. Breakfast, as many have said, was top-notch. From the property, the amenities, and the way they care, I couldn't ask for a better stay. I'll certainly be back.

Fantail Garden is located in Walton, just 28 miles from Hamilton Gardens and 31 miles from Garden Place Hamilton. Guests can go for a swim in the pool with a view. A perfect place to stay for far more than just one night. The owner is just amazing and this place is incredible. Everything is clean and you have a lot of space for yourself. I will definitely come back again. Thank you

The standard of kitchen and bathroom fixtures and overall quality of decor and finish were amazing

The Red Shed is a recently renovated guest house in Matamata where guests can make the most of the garden and terrace. It was so comfortable & because we had teenagers the pool table was used until they got too tired to stay up A small reserve area next to the property gave those that vaped somewhere to go for a walk & vape. My grandson left his watch behind & the host was kind enough to ring & let us know & put it in the post at no charge to us. I would highly recommend & we will definitely stop there again

House was large, well appointed and very quiet. The bed was firm and the most comfortable I had slept on during our trip. Location is convenient to town, with a car, and to Hobbiton. We enjoyed our one night's stay here.

Matamata Central Motel is a 20-minute drive from the Hobbiton Movie Set & Farm Tours, where parts of the Lord of the Rings trilogy were being filmed. Great size rooms and good facilities. Highly recommended
