We are the closest Motel to Massey University & the Manawatu River Walkway. Situated directly across the road from the Victoria Esplanade Playground, we area popular choice for many families.

I was in Palmerston North for about 5 weeks, from late May until late June. I was traveling for work at Massey University, where I served as a temporary faculty for the summer, and I could not have had better accommodations. The Esplanade motel exceeded my expectations in every possible manner. The owners are absolutely lovely people, and made me feel at home for the entirety of my stay. I don't particularly enjoy traveling for as long as I did (5-6 weeks), but I could not have been made more comfortable during my time in PN. I was provided with fantastic venison burgers & ceviche by the owners, and they were extremely flexible with charging during my time, especially considering I was at their property for over a month. I will be back in PN later this year, and I already know 100% where I'll be staying- I wouldn't consider staying at any other property after my experience, which was again, absolutely top notch. I can't wait to get back and see the owners again- I highly recommend anyone traveling to PN, especially those who will be working at Massey (barely a mile to the campus), to stay at the Esplanade.

Our 1 bedroom unit was very spacious and comfortable. lovely and clean and had a great kitchenette with everything you could need. great location to get around with parking. checkin was easy and the hosts are lovely with lots of great advice. would recommend to everyone.
