It is a beautiful city with lots of historic places to visit. Amazing restaurants to try typical dishes and mainly the cheese! It seems difficult to access sometimes (mainly the old historic area), but taxis reach practically everywhere. Sadly, my trip was a business one and only for a weekend, but the city deserves more days to fully enjoy it!

Beautiful old city, lovely to just wander around. Slightly off the beaten track with not too many foreign tourists there, particularly in February. Speaking a little Spanish is useful. Would definitely recommend.

Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city.

Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city. The museum is very well set out starting with paleotonic times and there is no charge to go in. I also loved the Arab museum - only a relatively small building but with some many distinct rooms and full of the everyday things that were used. A real house, not just a made to look like one. Good ‘menu’ at the Colon Kiosk that’s around from the hotel.

Caceres is a must-visit jewel in Spain's repertoire of fabulous historic places to visit. So many places to see but all in walking distance of the parador - Plaza de la Concepcion, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Santa Maria and the cathedral, Torre do los Pozos, the water cisterns and the Torre de Bujaco. All are wonderful sights to visit. Very easy to walk around and the Plaza Mayor has many restaurants and bars from which to choose where to eat.

Wonderful location in the center of Cáceres in a quiet street but 2 minutes away from Plaza Mayor. There are two excellent restaurants and a cafeteria just below the apartments. Very convenient to have breakfast in the morning and dinner after a full day of sightseeing. The apartments don't have parking but another hotel 5 minutes away offers parking for 10 euros a day to Baluart clients. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, quiet and very luminous. Highly recommended!!

I have come to Cáceres to help my father who had a medical emergency whilst staying in this hotel and every member of staff were outstanding. The care they have shown for me and my father is beyond any of my expectations. They have all been very kind and supportive making us both feel like we are not alone despite being over 1000 miles from home. I cannot thank them enough for what they have done and continue to do during the stay.

We chose this hotel because it had parking. It is about a half-hour walk to the historic center of Cáceres. The hotel was clean, and the room was much bigger than expected. Bed linens and towels are fine, water pressure is good, and the WiFi is fast. The hallways are kind of dark, and shoes squeak on the floors in the corridors and in the rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast (5€) was fine.

Perfect location in the old part of Caceres. Walking distance to everything (although quite hilly), lots of bars and restaurants nearby. We were lucky to be upgraded to a junior suite which was a nice surprise. The bed was big and the most comfortable of all the hotels we have stayed in recently! Lovely, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.
