We went during the winter season in February and it was good weather and an enjoyable stay! We were able to see the cherry blossoms! We saw komuroyama, the volcano omuroyama, did the jogasaki trail, went to kawazu to see the cherry blossoms, the imaihama beach where I definitely recommend to take a bike to go the beach!
I also recommend taking a day-pass at Ito station where you can take as much as you want the subway. However, for the mountains you have to take the buses so use your pasmo / suica card or cash. And it is also important to have a lot of cash on you because a lot of places take only cash.

I made a round trip along Ito coast.
I made a round trip along Ito coast. The west side is a rural area with its natural beauty and rocky beach well preserved. Not many people and houses, which fit my preference well. The east side boasts some world class white sand beaches, gorgeous rocky cliff view and small islands.

We needed more time!
We needed more time! We loved the coastline and beautiful beaches, the hikes and attractions. You need to be careful with transportation if you don't have a car: make sure you know what buses and trains you are taking in advance. If I could do it again, I would stay longer and rent a car.

City is charming, friendly and efficient people at the restaurants and shops. Safe to walk at night, my kids enjoyed the beach, and of course Jonathon’s restaurant.
Ate lunch at fresh fish restaurant, swam in the ocean in September, and enjoyed the outdoor large spa onsen.
My recommendation is K’s Guesthouse.
Available message at the outdoor spa too!

Good atmosphere to enjoy, it was cool when I was there in September. Sea is ok and clean enough for swimming. Jogasaki Coast is very nice. Nothing here is really special compare to other but still a peaceful place for a holiday.
This little heritage hotel have in-suite, open air and public onsan, it is very refresh to take open air onsan in the early morning, they separate the gender to enjoy the onsan by time, so need to spare some more time there to enjoy the bath, and which is worth; their general manager who greed us in person speak very good English and providing excellent japan style services. Last but not least, their in-suite dinning is a must try.
This is located in the best spot in Ito, on a babbling river and is part of a historic strip. The room was large with a seating porch, a large room for 2 beds and even an anteroom where we kept our luggage and clothes. The common areas were lovely, large and comfortable, and the fully equipped kitchen inspired us to shop and cook our own breakfasts! There were several onsen for hot baths on site.
It was my birthday stay. This hotel was renewed from old style minshuku, so some parts (tatami floor and futons remain), beds are available also. The private furo was wonderful, I had a great birthday eve family bathing. There are convenience stores and groceries and restaurants within walking distance. We rented a car from shimoda, it was wise to have a car in IZU area.
Nice location, very good breakfast with lots of choices. The onsen is quite nice with sauna, jacuzzi which seldom found in other onsen hotel. The hotel staff is extremely nice and provide above average hospitality and services. Very happy to give this hotel a recommendation.
Nice quiet little hotel, location was good, probably better suited to people with a car like us as I didn't see a supermarket or eatery very close by. Room exactly like on photos, big with nice views. Access to a kitchen between 3pm and 9pm
Excellent hospitality from the owner and his assistant Ms Lam. Good provisions in the hotel and the meals are good. The owner had driven us free to scenic locations. A value for money hotel and recommended to you without hesitation.
My room was extremely large for myself. Bathing facilities were disappointing for myself being a westerner. Getting familiar were my around the hotel, took a bit of time. Rather involved, until you get use to it.
Nice and cozy place, feels like home. The owner speaks multiple languages so no worries if you can’t speak Japanese. There’s also a vending machine in the guesthouse which i liked.
