It is a good ancient city with a good local culture. It is worth a quick visit (2 days). Bahia Palace, walking in Medina, and Riad Dar Yasin, where I stayed, were my best experiences. However, it is a Muslim country that does not allow tourists to enter mosques or universities, and you can not enter any of the palaces either. Therefore, there are limited attractions to visit. The biggest challenge is honesty. Whether it is a taxi, hotel, shopping, or tour guide, you must constantly watch for scammers and fraudsters.AmitUnited States - 8.0Scored 8.0

Amazing city - lots to see and do, friendly people great food, good bargains if you're polite and patient. Nightmare airport!!! Yes, it's very clean and beautiful but it took an hour and a half to get through passport control on arrival and minimum two hours to clear all the different queues on the way out and that was only when I was allowed to jump the final queue because the gate was closing. For a four day trip, spending 50% of one of those days queuing at the airport was annoying enough to put me off returning.

Perfect place to explore the sights and colourful markets, experience a different culture, feast on the amazing food, and bask in the glorious sunshine!! Very easy to get around using public transport (cabs) / hotel shuttles. Also loved our 3 day desert safari to Merzouga!! Friendly locals made us feel safe and welcome!

Really liked Marrakech. People are very friendly. We did a fabulous cookery class and a trip to the Atlas Mountains with Get Your Guide. Shopping in the Souks is fun. Food was lovely. Stayed 4 nights which was the right amount. Would return. Went to Cafe Arabe, bistro Araba in riad Monceau for Jazz music, cafe Marrakechi (square)

Marrakech is a great place to visit.
Marrakech is a great place to visit. Its a very vibrant place with lots going on and plenty to see and do. Most places though only take cash, although restaurants will take card. The ATM machines were very busy, I mainly stayed on the area but with more time I would like to visit the mountains and other areas. Generally, I would say, it felt very safe.davies - 10Scored 10

We took the Five Valleys Tour through Booking.com. A tour of a lifetime...we visited Berber villages far from Marrakesh. To see how people in villages live was invaluable. We hiked through villages and ate a beautiful prepared meal at a Berber home. Much more enriching than any 5 star hotel. We loved hearing the hauntingly beautiful call-to-prayer 5 x a day. A wonderful way to broaden our minds of the world. It is good to get away from the hustle bustle of the busy city and to really experience the local cultures.PennyUnited States

AC works fine and keeps the room cool even when the outdoor temps reached +36C ( 97F). Food selection was good. With all inclusive you get breakfast, lunch, and dinner it was nice to get bottled water to the room. We booked an old town whole day tour trough the hotel, which was so worth it.

I must say that it is an incredible Riad with all the services working perfectly. The rooms have air conditioning, warm water, and good beds. It is also located in a good area, which is not overly centric, but close to everything that you might need.
