We enjoyed wandering around the older parts of town. The cathedral was beautiful and open to view inside. The entire town is walkable, no need to hire a car. There was a variety of places to eat and drink. The location of the train station made it easy to come and go.

Tirano is a very nice town.
Tirano is a very nice town. It is very well connected with other parts of Italy by train. Also, the main attraction is the Bernina Express, which departs hourly from the Swiss Train Station, which is opposite the TrenItalia train station. What a gorgeous little town right by the rushing river.
What a gorgeous little town right by the rushing river. Fascinating buildings and great food ( had a great pizza at LETI DI PILONI AXEL by the station. Only stayed overnight after coming from Chur on the Bernina line then on to Rome but could easily have spent a week here. Everything walkable.

Lovely town in the valley, surrounded by beautiful wooded mountains. The old town is great and the connection to the Rhaetian Railway and the beautiful Bernina line are not to be missed! We went there to take the Bernina Express to St. Moritz and back. It was a beautiful experience. We stayed at Ostello del Castello and had three wonderful nights at one of the most kindness hosts Andrea we have ever meet, really nice ;-)IbDenmark

Jessy met us upon arrival and gave a tour of the room. Bruno, the owner helped with the bags. Rooms are super clean, comfortable and fresh.. The owners were always visible and there for us when we had questions. Breakfast was set in a beautiful cozy diner where Jessy along with the family were serving the breakfast and making sure you are enjoying your morning. The train station is located 100 meters away, which is very convenient for those traveling with the Bernina Express. Guest registration is at the restaurant. Breakfast is included, and lunch and dinner are available for an additional fee. Everything is within walking distance. The host met us at the restaurant. We stayed only one night and we are satisfied with this property.
