The place is old style but full of characteristics. Owner did a good job on the renovations to make it refreshed

Walking distance to beach, good food choices at food court (5pm - midnight), easy walk to Lotus supermarket, parking on property, washing & drying of laundry was convenient.

The house is very clean. Even though 1 toilet in 1 bedroom was having problem, but the overall house condition including cleanliness outweigh the issue. And the host was very responsive and cooperative. We would definitely promote this to our friends and relatives

I was greeted by Joyce, who messaged me with clear instructions and directions to get to the accommodation. When my family and I entered the property, it was clean and well kept. My elderly relatives found it easy to use their facilities and the internet was fast and stable.
We informed the team that we would like to do some light cooking, and they happily obliged our request. Utensils were provided which made things so much easier.

That it’s a terrace house, with many rooms and bathrooms. Also fully equipped and with soccer table, golf and basketball to entertain my boys! We all had a great time at the table soccer!

the view of the location in front of beach, we were enjoying the scenery...
its really private place to do a family gathering or get to gather with friends.

I like it because it is away from the traffic of Georgetown on the one side and from touristic Batu Ferringhi on the other. A handful of decent restaurants supplement the many informal local huts, giving all levels of cost and quality for variable dining. All the local folk are courteous and kindly, though English is universally poor to incomprehensible. Excellent modern buses connect with Georgetown etc. on a frequent, low-cost service. Car hire is not expensive and a liberating device for island discovery. Pop-up Fruit stalls abound for an exotic breakfast in your hotel room or on the beach. Meridien Hotel has the cleanest beach!

Tanjung Bungah offers beautiful beaches.
Tanjung Bungah offers beautiful beaches. There are many delicious food available around, and many cafes too. Apart from that, malls can be reached easily by driving on your own or via grab car. The only downside is when we wanted to go to the city, the traffic is terrible. We couldn't stand the traffic.

I liked the pool best .
I liked the pool best . It has the adult and kids pool with the waterfall and the surrounding greeneries. Loved the easy access to the lovely beach! On the beach, it was equipped with swings and a hammock!
For the room, I was finally happy with my upgrade, room 613, especially after I had complained about the first room that I had booked. The upgrade had a beautiful Oceanview. The room had some upgrading done with soft grey hard wood flooring, tiles on the eating area. It was a delight to rest in to enjoy views!
My first room was a horrid sight. Rm 601.The carpet was worn out to the bare bottom. Totally thread bare and faded. TV was not working. No wifi password was given. The big bathroom was actually built for a wheelchair accessible use. It had a concrete slab seat under the shower head. There was no tea, coffee nor bottles of water. This room was privately owned and managed. The hotel has no connections to my stay. So read carefully before you booked. The whole property was old and poorly maintained. Hallway carpet dirty and brown and badly stained all along the hallway on level 6. The pool shower room had stale odor and water pressure weak.

Strategically located between Georgetown and Batu Feringghi,...
Strategically located between Georgetown and Batu Feringghi, as well access to inner roads that takes you to other parts of Penang island. Many food choices of a variety of cuisines. Beaches are clean in general, and traffic not too heavy (like in Georgetown). Nice eateries with reasonable pricing such as Lebanon (Arab food), and Nadiah Tomyam. In Georgetown, a world of food splendor awaits, with Gurney Drive Hawker Centre, Padang Kota Lama, Nasi Kandar Line Clear, BeeHua Kafe, Peranakan House Cafe, Mee Goreng Bangkok Lane (relocated to New World Park in Jalan Burma).
As newly open hotel after long time shutdown, its still comfy. Very2 nice setup for lobby, pool and pool side. There's is no kids pool and the pool is 4 feet deep. So keep an eye on your children (pelampung for kids provided by hotel and thats very good). For other picky muslim traveler there's a big jesus picture in the mirror Infront of pool. For people who don't mind, that only want to sleep and rest, its a relaxing place after long day travel. The staff is very2 nice, even carry my heavy luggage to the room.
The property's beachfront location gave us a splendid view of the sea and ocean, with Mount Jerai being a far distant backdrop against the Penang / Kedah straits. The property's units were well equipped for a family's stay, comfy and clean beds, comfy toilets with soaps and shampoo, hot water etc. Living area with comfortable sofas to enjoy the sea breeze, fully equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, induction stove, electric kettle, cutleries, plates and drinking glasses and mugs).
I did not like the property. The hotel itself is old and needs updating..lifts, plumbing (brown water, yuck!) and room furniture. Hotel does not have an airport shuttle, and Grab drivers would not come to me early AM, so I missed my flight off Penang. The property is overpriced for dirty room and unhelpful staff. I’ve stayed in rooms that cost half as much in other parts of Malaysia and were twice as good! Disgraceful this is on booking.com.
Gerry and Teresa brought us into their home and made us feel so welcome from the minute we met them. They gave us great tips on places to see and showed us the best spots in Penang to eat. Great memories and friendships were made and we were sad to be leaving. Sipping G&T's on a balcony with Gerry, facing a beautiful sea and watching Clare beat Cork in the hurling. It doesnt get better 😉
I would highly recommend this homestay experience 🔟
One of the best homestays I've been to. Peaceful and Beautiful house located on a beach that almost feels like a private one . Knowledgeable hosts, who are eager to help and always seem to know the most optimised way to spend the time exploring the city .
There isn't any other place in Penang that I'll stay at on my future trips.
The place is well connected by bus and if you are adventurous enough you can walk to some awesome eateries.
Spacious and fully furnished apartment with clean rooms. The funitures in the apartment look simple and nice with quality, plus all electrical applicances are Japanese branded item. It is a service apartment which make us feel very comfortable to move in and move out. Unlike some homestay that doesnt welcome outsider. Our family enjoy the stay there. Will book again in future.
It's a spacious apartment in a building shared with a hotel. There's a good bed, a nice bath room and a
balcony where you can tan. You can use the pool of the hotel and even their somewhat private beach part with was good. They have a bar and a restaurant which I didn't visit. There's a very good Indian restaurant opposite the building and some other restaurants too.
The location was good and and good breakfast places close by well served for grab cabs and busses frequent.
Local shop close by . Hotel staff said hello and politely ignored the fact we were there as part of the condo but smiled when they saw us which we liked
WiFi was an unexpected bonus. We would stay again . Views and beach were good
The apartment was clean, big and instructions on how to get the keys were easy to understand. Location wise, it is convenient because it is not that far from town where the food and attractions are, and not that far from the beach side too. It is somewhat in the middle of those two places I often visit when I'm in Penang.
The room is spacious, has a kitchenette with a sink and microwave and a lovely view from the balcony. The pool and beach are nice and easy to access. There are watersports services on the beach as well. Location-wise the apartment is in the heart of Tanjung Bungah and close to Georgetwn.
We love the room overlooking the ocean. The view is stunning, so does the beach. The food for breakfast had many selections that you can choose from and they were delicious. However, not a lot of shops around the hotel, there are within the hotel but they open quite late.
The position is good and close to most places in Tanjung Bungah. It’s nice to come and go as you please. The staff who interact through WhatsApp made things easy and went out their way to get us an early check in.
Everything. Its by the beach. The staff of the hotel was very accomodating although we stayed at the private unit. They allowed us to park near rhe lift which qas not really a parking space
Amazing seaview and convenient location rght next to the beach.
Unit is comfortable and nicely decorated. It's actually located within a hotel complex
Smooth and easy checkin
The location was superb. The room was okay, good at best. It was a private property within a hotel building. Easy access to the beach and swimming pool.
