River view was sublime...we had a hard time leaving the balcony to explore the 10-minute walk to downtown. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. EV charging onsite and free. Grocery store (Albertsons) across the parking lot is a plus!

Breakfast was advertised from 6:30 am
to 9:30 am. We went down around 9 am each
morning. Both mornings there was very little
food. Staff was putting what was out away.
We did mention this to the manager however
the cook refused to put out more food. He
Stated he had fed the snow boarders and skiers.
He was willing to cook more food if he was paid
to do so by us, the customers.

The staff is amazing at this location. Clean rooms and plenty for children to do with the pool and basketball court. Close to great restaurants just across the way and a decent health foods market. Fishing spot 15 minutes away and kids caught 45 just off the dock.

A newer La Quinta. They're more or less all the same. Can't go wrong with the newer ones but have to be very careful with the older ones. I guess it all depends on the management.

Really liked Durango. I chose for its access to the incredible Soaring Tree Top adventures which has 27 zip lines in the San Juan forest and over the Animas river - breathtaking, spectacular and expensive (but worth it ). Some great tours and activities available - Mesa Verde is astonishing and wonderful. Lovely small friendly town. Lots of good places to eat (11th st station food trucks were great) and drink. An amazing train rise up to Silverton with spectacular views.

Durango is a wonderful city.
Durango is a wonderful city. It has stunning views of the Rocky Mountains (snow capped in June 2024). Beautiful city, very clean city, and the City crews were picking up trash each morning from the trash cans. Excellent city!

Durango was great.
Durango was great. The riverwalk through the heart of town is great - watch out for bicycles though! If you drive 2-3 hours in any direction you can see some of the most beautiful places in the country. North into the San Juan Mountains, East through the mountains to Great Sand Dunes, West to Mesa Verde, Arches, Canyonlands, and Monument Valley, and South to Santa Fe.

I lived in the Durango area for several years and had to move away. This was another revisit. The main attraction is the railroad. I have taken the Cascade run and it is a wonderful experience. I believe Durango has a good mix of acitivites for young and old. There are so many great restaurants and children appear to be welcome. It is a tourist town, yet I have always found that customer service is great wherever I go. There are galleries and books stores and toy stores. There is so much history to glean with exciting stories of the settlers and the miners in the area. Then of course, the outdoor activities are year round and endless. The mountain views are topped only by the ones in Ouray and Silverton in this area.

Durango is a charming old western town with a fun vibe.
Durango is a charming old western town with a fun vibe. Great for cycling and other outdoor sports.
We liked The Office for dinner and live music. We were surprised we couldn’t find good Mexican food.
Good location, only a few minutes walk to downtown Durango. Good facilities with restaurant, outdoor bar, swimming pool, fitness area (including a Peloton) and jacuzzi. Breakfast and lunch was very good. Perfect place for a conference or seminar as the hotel is quite big with lots of rooms and conference areas.
We came to Durango especially to experience the Durango & Silverstone train ride and the hotel was just 5 minutes away by walking.
We didn't know that there was a complimentary breakfast which was a nice surprise, the breakfast buffet was delicious.
The hotel is close to downtown Durango, with a short drive or a few minutes walk. It has all the amenities we were looking for. They’re also pet friendly with a fee. A dog park area is easily accessible at the end of the parking lot.
The breakfast was fresh, hot, plentiful, and a wide variety for complimentary. There was coffee, hot tea/ hot chocolate 24/7, which was nice. The location fit our needs. Close to grocery, restaurants, and downtown Durango. 👍
Nice hotel in a quiet location. Felt fine leaving stuff in our car and didn't worry about theft or anything. A few minutes drive to 'downtown' Durango but that was fine and worth being in a quiet place at night.
New or updated hotel as all carpets were clean, everything appeared new. Breakfast was excellent.
Definitely one of the best places to stay in Durango.
One mile from downtown and the famous train.
This hotel was great. The property was in a good spot close to downtown. The design on the inside was great indoor pool hot tub wonderful Continental breakfast all in all it is a great place.
We rode the Durango steam train, and the hotel was just a couple blocks from there and so convenient! Close to downtown restaurants. Beautiful historic hotel. Coffee offered every morning.
The man working at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The location was good - close to many restaurants, a grocery store, and downtown Durango. The room itself was clean.
The bedrooms are great really big, a nice view to the river. The bathroom is also big and modern. Really confortable.
It is really close to Durango downtown, we can walk easily.
