I had an overnight connection and required a hotel with a shuttle service. We were able to have dinner and some drinks at The Hotel Mardrit, inside the restaurant and bar downstairs and it was lovely. We would love to come back to really explore Madrid.

Nice couple of days to see the sights with our Niece who speaks Spanish so very helpful. There are a few sights, mainly within walking distance of the centre, many galleries, loads of restaurants and plenty of shopping. It's a bit touristy but it is a European Capital. We joined one of the 'free' tours which worked well to get some background. We didn't pre-book for anything and were lucky with queues, at on time we went past the Prada and the line for tickets was 300m, I think as at times it is free entry. The queue is mainly caused by security, not ticket sales. Get out of the town centre for Tapas, we took a recommendation and went to a location, La pequena grana in a residential side street, packed out, no other tourists and still they made us welcome, found us seats and served us really well. Use Uber for travelling, well represented ,average wait 4 minutes.

A beautiful city. Clean and safe.
A beautiful city. Clean and safe. Lots to see and do, and much of it within walking distance. Getting around was easy, with fantastic public transport. Great architecture, fantastic shopping, and all interspersed with beautiful open and green spaces.
Hostal Met Madrid has a great location in between the Plaza Major, the Mercado San Miguel and the Ooera/Teatro Real. Most main tourist destinations in the city centre are in east walking distance. The hotel itself comprises the second floor of a large old apartment building. Rooms are a good size with en-suite bathrooms, fridge and mini-safe. We were also treated to some cava left in our room. Rooms were clean and having air conditioning really helped for a July visit. The price was good for the facilities and location.
One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Clean, beautiful, amazing facilities. Location is good, is in the financial center, close to airport and city center. We arrived in terminal 1, we took bus 200 to get to the hotel. Public transport in Madrid by default costs 1.5 EUR(and you can pay cash inside the bus). In order to get to the center we got the bus 53 infront of Cuco’s restaurant which is super close to the hotel and it was super easy to travel around. Highly recommended. Loved it?
Very accommodating to specific needs and really appreciated free bakery goods on the weekend. Effective communication utilizing What’s App. Staff was helpful with bags and transportation to airport also communicating with taxi driver to ensure information for destination was correct. Nice complimentary tote bag to carry for any souvenirs or items for walking in the city. Maybe think about adding Madrid, Spain on the tote bag, making it more specific to the visit.
Great location in a really cool neighbourhood of Madrid,. Staff where excellent especially Cristina on reception who went above & beyond on her level of service. When we where checking in I dropped a bowl we had bought as a memento by our daughter. Cristina & Victor took the trouble to have it repaired and delivered to our room at no cost. On this trip we stayed at 16 different hotels in the USA, Canada, Portugal, Spain and Japan, this was by far the best!
ARTIEM Madrid was perfect for our weekend break. the hotel was modern, clean and it catered to all our needs. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the free drinks and lunch fridge was a great bonus. Our room was spacious, well-kept and comfortable.
The hotel is situated half way between the airport and the city centre, but easily accessible by bus and metro. It was incredible value for money. We would stay here again if we were to return to Madrid.
This is an outstanding property in every way. The hotel is located in a lovely part of the city center, close to lots of cultural attractions , great tapas bars and restaurants, and shopping areas. We loved the decor snd ambience of the lobby and our room. Every detail was addressed , and it was spotlessly clean. The staff was very helpful and pleasant . One of the very best places we stayed in our 3 week trip
to Spain.
The hotel is very well located in the centre of Madrid, with a good metro connection to the airport. Gran Via and Moncloa within walking distance from the hotel, nice places to eat around. The host is friendly. No problem with noise from the street (we had a room in the back). The bathroom was clean. The room was small, but ok. A good option for this price.
Very good room, tastefully decorated. Also lovely and quiet at night, despite being in the city centre.
Staff were particularly welcoming and very helpful at all times. Good breakfast.

This hotel has one of the best locations in Madrid. You have access to everything and are located in the heart of the beautiful street of Gran Via. The staff are very kind and helpful. Overall, it is a great experience.
We loved staying at the Riu, the locating is great, walking distance to most of Madrid best tourist attractions. Staff is very friendly and the breakfast is supreme! You can taste Spain's exquisite cousine all at once!
The location was fabulous, near Plaza Mayor. We spent our last night in Spain here and the hotel arranged for us to eat the exceptional breakfast early so we could leave for the airport.
Good hotel, in the centre of Madrid, easy to find. 5 min walk from Ciebeles airport bus stop, and outside is the entrance to Gran Via metro. Rooms are ok, clean and tidy.
The variety of food provided in the continental buffet.
The location of the hotel is excellent in Madrid city centre.
The room was spotless and the Wi-Fi was excellent.
Best location and lodging in all of Spain.
