Improvements - in the restaurant area, coffee and tea making facilities to be a bit more secure and spacious. To cater more for western tastes as opposed to locals - ie more cereals and yogurts. At time a bit too tight for numbers.
Pay more attention to health and safety around the tea/coffee area. Milk gets very hot, better signs to indicate this.
When floors are being mopped, to use wet floor sign so people are aware.

Colombo is now getting better after a recession few years back. They are on a speedy recovery. There are lots of places you can visit for sightseeing. If you are going on a business trip, Colombo is an ideal space for staying as they have all the good locations (especially importers and huge markets). Better book private hire through a car company, it's way cheaper if you want to explore the city. Walking is also a good option.

Beautiful city with clean and green infrastructure.
Beautiful city with clean and green infrastructure. Recommended for Indians to visit. Shopping was good (Visited - One face mall, City Center mall, Havalock city mall). Galle face location was great to spend some time with family. Independent square, Gangarama Buddhist temple, Lotus tower tourist spots were nice. 2 days is enough to cover Colombo city.

Havelock Garden BNB is very modern with a very pleasing aesthetic feel. It was spacious and had all the amenities you could possibly need. Great location with some great finds on your door step. Bus service, tuk tuks, shopping Mall, with a free ATM outside (inside charges) Sim card shop 50 metres away apx - end of the road. Sky Bar with infinity pool called Me Bar. Great to watch the city light up and it is happy hour 5-7pm - walking distance . To mention but a few. The housekeeper goes above and beyond to ensure you have a comfortable stay and her Sri Lanken Breakfast is delicious and will set you up for the day. We could also have an english breakfast if desired. We would most definitely stay again.

The city is busy with chaotic traffic.
The city is busy with chaotic traffic. On the night of the 25th city roads from Colombo 3 to Fort were closed and we did not know. When we got a taxi (Uber and Taxis were not able to reach us) they charged 6 times more than the usual fare. The tuk-tuks often charge foreigners very high fees. Make sure you get into one with a functional meter. There are good places to eat. Don't eat street food because their hygiene habits are questionable. Colombo is reported as a dengue-prone area. So use mosquito repellent. During December, there weren't many. Ask the hotel you stay for taxis or use their local Pickme app. Yet it is often wise to check the agreed fee. Otherwise they charge much higher.
Amazing Location, was there for a short stay technically just a pit stop in Colombo before heading out to the South. We got there late at night at it was perfect because they were playing football in the restaurant at the bottom floor. Some cool spots around the hotel and walkable to some tourist attractions in the city and the main bus station. We ended up booking again on our last day in Sri Lanka before heading back to the airport. Staff were amazing, they allowed us to watch the games until about 2 AM. Great value for money.
the hotel is centrally located in Colombo there is a small mall attached with a keells grocery and Delma tea, not to forget that the hotel has 10 restaurants of various cuisine so you are spoilt for choices really. the staff is very attentive from the valet to concierge to reception to even housekeeping and ground staff. even though it was a business trip for me, I highly recommend this place before you move ahead with your journey of touring Colombo.
Brand new hotel! Amazing stay and modern design.
Just meters away from the Hilton, Marriot, and big hotel chains in Colombo. A lot of restaurants next door [literally]. Safe area guard also by the the army.
Breakfast was continental and tasty. I recommend all guest coming to Colombo to trust me and stay here. It was my fist time in Sri Lanka [I am from Bolivia] and we hit the jackpot with this hotel in all senses.
Newly redesigned ,
Everything was great ,perfect staff and very attending ,good food and shisha was great
Mithma was great host ,explained everything to us about facilities of the hotel and helped with any question we had
Raj is best bell boy here ,very friendly and attentive .
Dinendra made us a lot of ice coffees ,best in Sri Lanka .
10/10 experience would definatly visit again
Thank you
The hotel has attractive decor and is in a great location in Colombo. The infinity pool on the 27th floor is definitely something special. The bathroom was huge and really liked the Japanese toilets. Breakfast buffet had a good continental breakfast spread as well as Sri Lankan options to try which were delicious. Cocktails at the roof terrace were great too.
Property was amazing great value for money and great staff. They recommended the best guide called Roshan if you ever stay here ask the hotel staff for his number he will make your holiday experience perfect and has great knowledge of Sri Lanka. He is great company to hang out with and will make your tour personal to your group as to where you want to go.
One of my favourite hotels during my recent travels to Sri Lanka, Cinnamon Red is right in the middle of the city making it possible to explore Colombo’s attractions by foot. To top it, it stands tall on its own, offering 360 degree unobstructed stunning views of the city—the views at night are especially gorgeous!
This place is an oasis in Colombo. We just had one overnight after our arrival at Colombo airport. It’s about 45min from the airport (wo. traffic jam). The interieur and garden area of the boutique hotel is really nice. The staff was very friendly and supportive. The Sri Lankan breakfast is a recommendation.
The rooftop pool and bar was amazing. Incredible views of both Colombo and the sea. The room has great decor and had everything you needed, you need to check out the toilet! All the staff were really kind and helpful. We had an excellent stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Colombo
We stayed here one night after landing in Colombo. The room was spacious and the pictures online were accurate. The staff were helpful and friendly. Easy to get to from the airport. Breakfast was ok, we had omelettes. Just what we needed before starting our trip around Sri Lanka.
It has an awesome pool, one of the best breakfasts I had in this Sri Lanka trip (both spread and taste), courteous staff, very clean and well-managed hotel.
Connected Marino Mall, you can just step out for indulgence without going out of the hotel.
One of the most pleasant stays I have ever had in a Colombo hotel. The room was comfortable, although not all rooms are the same.
staff throughout the hotel consistently courteous and hospitable. Special thanks to all the staff who served us.
it’s excellent hotel in Colombo . perfect from A to Z .All the facility from room, food to staff is simply excellent . All staff of the hotel is very courteous specially front desk manager Mr Ram Sudd is simply outstanding.
A truly grand hotel. Beautifully designed, and is at one of the best locations in Colombo. Amazing breakfast. Having the connected mall is a big plus. Very friendly staff. Horizon lounge is beautiful with great views.
The hotel looked and felt like a 4 star hotel with a little old Sri Lanka charm. The highlight was Razik, Razik was a room attendant with a real focus on people, making people happy and getting people what they need.
I was looking for a thrifty place to crash during my 2 nights stay in Colombo and it was a nice
Cozy and clean hotel and best value for the money I spent.
