Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SlovakiaThere is a train going nearby the hotel and it makes noise quite often, they also offer earplugs and the front desk. The staff was not very friendly and in comparison with other hotels we stayed, I did feel like we were bothering them. Also, there is a $50 deposit (standard) but a couple of days after our stay I noticed 3 transactions on my credit card from this hotel - $50, $50, $58. I contacted them and they told me the two $50 transactions were only the deposit (there was some kind of re-authirization) and that we will get it back and we "only pay $58 for the food we had" - mind you, we arrived quite late at night, went straight to the room and left in the morning without having ANY food nor knowing there even was a restaurant. We messaged them about this and since a couple of days went by with no "ending" (the manager was on a conference, they are checking into this etc.) we also contacted Booking - we got a reply that they have a "proof" we ate at the restaurant. What was the proof you might ask? A list of food purchased (not a photo) and that the food was for our room number - no photo, no signature, no nothing (so I can go to the restaurant, have a feast, say a number of any room and that's it????) FINALLY, after a couple of days of messaging they agreed to issue a credit note and give us the money back. All in all we liked our stay but this particular experience and especially the whole defensive approach from the hotel's side about this was very unexpected and alarming.
The room was pretty nice, quite spacious and we had 2 beds which were very comfortable. There was also a private bathroom, TV, coffee machine etc. and everything was clean and neat. There were free parking spaces in the front so we had no problems parking.

United StatesThe lighting in the room was poor. Not really enough to read a book before bed. Not a big deal, but a little disappointing.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. They securely stored my bike for an extra $40 per day while I hiked Havasupai. I also enjoyed a great meal here— grilled chicken salad. The gift shop was cute, too.

United StatesThe hotel is right next to the railroad tracks and trains go by honking all day and night. The hotel offers free earplugs. Service at restaurant a little slow. I think the to go food they offer is the only gig in town and they are super busy with that. Didn't offer breakfast included for guests, but restaurant had a pay buffet. We passed on that.
The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The salt water pool and the hot tub were great. Laundry room had a key card door. Restaurant dinner food was decent

United StatesAt check in the hotel didn’t have our reservation and said it had a room booked for us in September then blamed Booking.com for the mistake. Luckily they weren’t completely booked and got us a room but it scared me as there’s no where else nearby to stay last minute. Also we originally booked a king room and they gave us two queens. The room was really dark with a few bulbs burned out. Overall the place was fine especially for being in the middle of nowhere just don’t have high expectations.
We liked that it had a restaurant and mini market nearby where we got food for breakfast and heated up in our room’s microwave at 4 am before the drive to start the hike. I prefer a softer bed but it was fine. The shower was hot and the room was clean. Our room faced the road and we could hear the train but it didn’t bother us or keep us awake.

I was actually very surprised by the facilities. Even the restaurant was nice. For what I have heard I thought it was a so so place, but we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and nice desk reception

United StatesCommunication from management to staff and to customers.
They told 5:30am - 7:30am there is breakfast but after we got there we were told that their manager changed the time and breakfast won't be served. The lady was still nice enough to give us something since we were told something else and the changed happened without us being told.

United KingdomIn the 2 bedded rooms - there is very little space around the beds and the chair that is placed in the room is so squashed that it is not an area to relax in, so it might as well be removed. The desk is also quite cramped. The check in staff are not unfriendly, but they are not proactive in their customer service in any way. Service in the restaurant is polite but slow. Finally the trains are VERY noisy, even though there is fair warning. They do provide ear plugs but that does not help. There is some noise through the connecting doors too - and as people get up very early for tours it can be disturbing.
The hotel is in a great location for accessing the white water rafting and other tours to Grand Canyon West or as a stop over on the way back to Las Vegas. It is a standard type of motel/hotel in this region. Rooms have fridges and microwaves. Wifi is good. There is a restaurant onsite. Easy parking. There is a great upstairs lounge area where we were able to relax when our tour was cancelled due to guest "no shows". The tour company is affiliated to the hotel and they handled this difficulty well, offering a refund - though we are yet to receive this.
