Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The hotel was beautiful and the location was perfect! We were 15 minutes away from Charleston and local beaches! Breakfast was superb! Lots of options, and made to order omelets 😊

United StatesThe breakfast is mid...The scrambled eggs were too hard and artificial, and it is all from a box kind of food... I liked for myself the combination of grits with fresh pineapple, and the sliced bakery. American food in other words ; ) The led lights in the bathroom were awful, but this is the time we live in..
The hotel is clean and very welcoming. The atmosphere is one of a kind due to great design and choice of colors, and of course location..

United StatesOnly down fall was there was one more property right before this hotel…not the end of the world what so ever. This place is fantastic!
Was on the quieter side of the harbor but with still tons to do in the area! Also sits on the harbor under the main Charleston bridge. A pier also extends underneath which is great for fishing and gorgeous for sunsets (about .2 miles from hotel)!!

United StatesThe only area of constructive criticism would be that Kate who works the breakfast room clean up for 5 days a week is extremely annoying and loud. She is abrasive and in your face all the time. It’s almost like she thinks it’s her “showtime”. She also wants to remove your plates and cups before you are even finished. People want to eat breakfast in peace. She is a bad reflection on the hotel and if I were in management, I would look to replace her with someone else. I didn’t reflect this in the rating given as I am sure she will be replaced soon.
