Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
Politically sensitive comments
Promotional content
Illegal activities
Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
Spam and fake content
Animal cruelty
Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Unfortunately Covid aftermath is very applicable. Lack of maintenance of the property everywhere, old and nothing is really updated or has been repaired. Too bad, because is location is really good!
Located directly at the beach. Staff was friendly and tried to make our stay as good as possible! Helpful, service orientated.

The a/c was either on making the room as cold as a walk in refrigerator or it was off. The controls really didn’t make a difference.
The shower water fluctuates between hot and cold.
Our tv did not work. I didn’t complain, we are not there to watch tv.
Bed was comfortable. From a western point of view, it wasn’t a pillow top but definitely not hard as the standard. I slept really well. Location is set off the road provides quiet. Start of season and they are working on improvements it seems.

Nobody present to check in. The place around the bungalows is not clean. It does not look like the pictures. No bar or restaurant, only for breakfast.
Inside the room is very clean and up to date.

NO staff after 10am. Security only after 6pm. My dog was attacked by stray dogs on the private beach. We checked out the next day. The access to the property was via a very poorly maintained dirt road. There was significant flooding on the road. I had to walk through the flood to get to the main road to buy food. The property had advertised a bar and restaurant. There was no restaurant. I had not anticipated having to leave the property for food. When I walked up to the shops for food, I was followed by a pack of stray dogs. I had to carry a large stick and use my voice to deter them from attacking my dog. The properties beach area was very poorly maintained.
I checked out the next day. Feeling very unhappy about the experience and the expense I have had to forfeit.
The room was pleasant although not facing the sea as stated in advertisement. Breakfast was ok.
