Breakfast can be better. Should have more main course. Since some of the items are pork, less choices for those who do not eat pork/meat.

The resort surrounding is very well maintained. The Olympic size pool is wonderful. The ocean view room with balcony is the best. The hainanese chicken rice for breakfast was delicious.

We were told about the onsen which js quite interesting , but did not know that there’s an additional charge and with limited 1 hrs to use. There’s no rain shower for the type of room we stayed. The main improvement is the selection of breakfast buffet, there is not much selection at all which is quite disappointing.

The hotel is freshly new , great option of activities (outdoor,pool etc) Olympic size pool is a highlight, room is nice and clean, very comfy bed and pillow, the aircon can cool down whole room within 5 mins which is great during April.

Areas for Improvement: * Soundproofing in the rooms is inadequate, allowing external noises, including roosters and sounds from nearby mosques, to disturb your sleep. * Insufficient sunbeds around the pool area, leading to inconvenience for guests. * Inconsistent service experiences, such as unattended spa reception and lack of attention in the café (we sat there for over an hour and never got a menu or asked if we wanted anything). * No room cleaning service one day, which only bothered us because we would’ve liked new water bottles. * All pools have high temperatures. A cooler option would be great to be able to refresh yourself. * Prices of the massages in the hotel are too high for Thailand (around 2’000-3’500 Baht). However, there is a great Massage Place in Ao Nang (Atta-Rak) where it costs around 400-600 Baht. * The air conditioning, while functional, struggles to maintain optimal humidity levels in the room, even in "dry" mode.

The rooms are clean and modern, equipped with excellent facilities and amenities. * The staff are super friendly, always greeting you. * The hotel offers a diverse range of activities; we enjoyed the rock climbing course. * Breakfast options are extensive, including made-to-order items like pancakes, avocado toast, and scrambled eggs. The entire breakfast is amazing! * The Beach Club offers great ocean views and nice cocktails. But even though it belongs to the hotel it’s also not free of charge (1’500 Baht minimum spending). * The entire complex is very clean and modern, with the 3 layer pool area being especially impressive. The availability of swimming goggles and fins for free rent at the Olympic pool is also cool. * The Onsen Spa provides a unique and relaxing experience, with a complimentary first visit.

Amazing hotel. All the facilities spot on. Attention for finest details. Rooms are well modern designs. Bed shits, showers, pillows, amenities. All very good. Breakfast is good. Main restaurant has great food. Gym is one of the best I’ve seen.

Breakfast, location, and amenities were all fantastic. However, the staff were easily the best part of the experience - staying in a foreign country is always challenging, and they went above and beyond helping us navigate excursions and call taxis.

Sounds travel through the walls and depending on your neighbours, it can be a problem. I would have used the spa more if it had been more affordable. Some disrespectful guests were smoking cannabis on the side of the swimming pool and on their balcony and the smell was just repulsive. Please make it clear that such behaviours are not acceptable. Cannabis has no place in the public domain (or elsewhere for that matte). Otherwise, our stay was lovely and the staff was truly wonderful.

- Location is not the most ideal, could be difficult to call a grab, but it is very quiet and peaceful with nice beach in front

The lunch and dinner at the hotel are not attractive for visitors. The beach on the opposite side of the hotel is not that impress. I guess it is not owned by the hotel. No attractive seafood restaurants nearby.

The breakfast is excellent. It's healthy and tasty. The Olympic pool and the fitness are nice and clean. I also love the Spa and Onsen. Staffs are friendly and helpful. All trees are well maintained and beautiful.

The taxi ride to the airport was 1200BHT. It was quite expensive. You can use the grab app instead, which is like Uber. Grab to the hotel was only 600BHT.

The best hotel that I've ever stayed in: Fantastic food. Staff were super friendly. Amazing rooms. Finer detail considered at all times - flowers, name on a leaf which is placed on your bed. Great gym with free classes. Reception will arrange transport for you. Huge selection at breakfast - oat milk, etc 5 minute walk from the beach. I had a pool view from my room. Spa deals -, massages, and treatments were brilliant. It is a perfect place for fitness, wellness, and relaxation. The hotel is pricey, but it was worth every penny - enjoy!

Transfer from the airport was not there despite paying upfront. All the restaurants and room service share the same (large) menu. Food was always good but it would be nice to see some variety. Room cleaning stopped replacing coffee pods after the first 2 nights?

Gorgeous rooms, good views, nice chilled vibes throughout, food was good, activities available through the day, excursions were all easy to arrange and enjoyable. Good location for a break from the city. Staff were always lovely and helpful.

We had a great stay at Varana. The hotel feels brand new and has amazing facilities, and great food options. The beach over the road is beautiful. Highly recommend booking a private longtail boat tour to Hong Island through the hotel, we had a fantastic time. This is a perfect hotel for anyone looking for a luxury stay and wants to stay a bit out of the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang, but close enough to get a taxi in easily.

Breakfast can be a bit chaotic if busy, options could be better at breakfast. Location may not suit everyone as the area is quieter and restaurants generally average around the hotel.

Feels very zen, lovely architecture and design, pools are great, staff are helpful and very polite, pool bar was great, cocktails really good, room very clean and comfortable. Restaurant and spa also very good.
