Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyEverything was totally fine. Our room had no window which was odd but fine, we were just sleeping there.
The atmosphere was very chill, the staff was very friedly and helpful. The location is nice as well, you're near Kaosan Road, 30 min by foot away from the Great temple which was very nice. I would recommend.

United KingdomThey don't serve food, but there's a couple of restaurants next door and a 7-eleven 1 mins walk so it was all good.
Really good location. Away from the mayhem of Khaosan but still only a 10 mins walk so it's the best of both worlds. Really easy to meet people here, so it's great for a solo traveller.

United KingdomFew people did the activities so some wouldn’t run. Private room was fairly pricey (for having no window too), I’d get the female dorm next time.
Great location down a quiet street. Nice outside seating area. Sociable, but did depend on the day. I’d stay here again!

SwitzerlandFemale dorm is perfect - only bottom beds, only 4 beds, private toilet and hot shower outside (so a lot of privacy). The vibe in the hostel is great. A lot of nice people and a big chill-out area whith games etc.

FranceNot much really.
Very nice hostel. We had a twin room, it was clean, well set up, there was a window, the bathroom was good, the beds ok. It was relatively quiet, walls are not very thick and you can hear when people talk in the hallway, but they was no loud noises late or early. Having the cafe downstairs is nice, you can have drinks and eat. The staff was nice and helpful. The hostel proposes activities and tours. The neighborhood is really good: it's 5 minutes from Khaosan road and touristic places, but it's in a more "authentic" area, more residential, less noise. And in a small street, so no car noises. Overall, it's friendly and you can have opportunities to meet people, and yet it's quiet, so very good deal.

GermanyWifi was not that good. Bit unstable, not so fast.
The community area just works. You come easily in contact with others and it's a very nice place. It got cleaned every day. All in all a great experience so close to Khaosan. Water was for free!

United States of AmericaThe bed was stiff hard. There was a window but it gave out to a little alley so not much natural light. It was far from public transit and other areas around Bangkok. Graabs quickly started to add up.
Location was close to Old Town, temples and Kaosan road. It was quiet at night. The communal area was also a nice feature. Made it easy to grab some food or a drink right on site. Staff was friendly.

United KingdomThe internet was terrible in the private rooms, 1 night there was no WiFi all evening and the other nights was just enough to scroll social media and research things to do but it cut out incessantly. I tried in the social area and it was slightly better but not a good idea if you plan on working or relying on WiFi. My room was near some stairs so from about 9am you could hear people moving around, especially heavy luggage, and talking. There was a window but it looked into a cleaning bit so kept the windows and blinds closed which made the room smell quite musty (it wasn't damp or anything, just no airflow.
Social hostel with something on most nights, always people chatting. Good size room, big bed and good shower. Great, really central location to shops, restaurants, walks along the river. Can book minivan to airport for 250baht, can leave luggage there during the day

CanadaStairs to the upper level may be problematic for anyone with large bags or mobility issues (note: there are rooms on the lower level). And the rooms near the reception and bar could be a bit noisy late into the night (ear plugs were enough to drown that out).
I stayed here twice, at the beginning and end of my trip in Thailand. The private rooms had good bathrooms with hot water, comfy beds and were clean. The bar was social and offered good coffee and fair prices on drinks. The staff was fantastic, they were so helpful and made you feel very welcome. Location was okay, near Khao San Rd and with plenty of food options around (7-11 and great restaurants), but it was a little time-consuming to get to other parts of the city on public transport (but definitely doable).
