It is bearable yes, but be prepared (Germans: Anti Brumm did the job fine, compared to the provided lemon spray) that the nice green and pond facility are also a paradise for Mosquitos. Staff might also step up to the price by being more proactive and confident in speaking english, but it's not drametic for your stay.

Rocky sea

The resort is beautiful and so we'll looked after. The room was lovely and spacious and tye view from our beach front bungalow was fab. The resort is quiet and peaceful and you never have trouble getting a lounger by the pool or beach front. The team are wonderful and very friendly and couldn't fault anything in terms of the breakfast selection. The only slight downside to the resort is that the beach is rocky in the sea so not ideal for swimming. All in all we thoroughly recommend the resort and we would definitely return.

This was the most relaxing stay of our 2 weeks and 4 hotels in Thailand. A lot of people complained about the low tide, but the high tide lasts long enough and is deep enough ti enjoy. There are only a few villas so there’s usually only a few couples and families lounging at a time. The food was delicious and there are plenty of restaurant options close by.

Air con was noisy even on the lowest fan setting. Reception staff and housekeeping team were great but restaurant/bar staff were not very efficient or welcoming Mattress was a bit hard Sun loungers were not very comfortable with very thin plastic cushions.

The beach was rather rocky and swimming was often affected by low tide and rocks sticking out but thats not the fault of the hotel in any way

Such a little hidden jem right on the beach. The staff takes care of the grounds and guests with an eye for small detail and we really appreciated our 3 night stay with a baby and 5year old boy. Though for sure not a typical hotel for family vacation the staff was so friendly and caring for our kids, making us feel welcome in a rather couple's resort.

This resort is the gem of Koh Lanta. The grounds are maintained beautifully with such attention to details that adds to the charm of the resort. Every morning fresh flowers are placed in patterns in pots filled with water. The pool is clean and maintained daily as it is enjoyed by all who stay at the resort. The buildings are maintained with the same attention. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is delicious with a selection for everyone, and dining by the pool at night overlooking the ocean while watching the sunset is romantic. The staff are welcoming, gracious, thoughtful, and always have a smile on their faces when interacting with you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beach was rocky when the sea was out, pond shoes recommended when sea is out, good for swimming when the sea is in. Breakfast was good, very well presented. Pool was good, with sunbeds around the pool and in the shaded areas. The beautiful maintained gardens around where you stay are exceptional, fresh flower displays every day, foot wash outside your apartment, with a great attention to detail. Great helpful staff.

Wow, what a hidden gem! The Baan Thai Resort exceeded all our expectations. We were left speechless by the quality of the hospitality of the staff, grounds, food and our room. We were welcomed by a big smile from Mareena (front desk) fantastic home cooked meals from Mai and all your hospitality needs by Too -and Baanthai the cat. The resort grounds were manicured daily and the fit and finish to every well placed ornament complimented the feel. All rooms were surrounded by lush foliage and trees. There was nothing out of place. Every morning the staff decorated large bowls with fresh flowers and hand picked petals grown on site. The food offered was flavourful and made with a true home cooked feel. The rooms were immaculate, clean, and quiet. If you’re into a party atmosphere, it’s available down the beach, but this resort excels in a professional, quiet, relaxing stay. We would rate our experience a 12 out of 10 if we could

Nothing could be changed to improve Baan Thai outside of updating the pictures online - you are UNDERselling this place!

One of the best resorts I've ever stayed at, and at a very reasonable price. The pictures do not do this place justice. From the moment you walk through the front gates you are struck by the most incredibly well-kept and beautiful gardens, ponds and flowers. Staff are wonderful - they go above and beyond for all guests. There must be only 10-15 'villas' and they're all so well looked after. 10/10 clean 10/10 staff 10/10 breakfast 10/10 location (literally on the beach, almost a private section) 10/10 rooms Phenomenal few days here.

In a quiet spot on a great beach, very clean and tidy, attentive staff, excellent catering, any issues were dealt with without fuss and the little touches like the bowls of flowers laid out daily just made it all so… nice! 7-11 is a short walk too, so if you like accessible location but prefer a quiet sleep then its perfect.

What lovely bungalows which are clean and spacious with a really comfortable bed. There’s a pool with loungers, both shaded and in the sun. The breakfasts were always something to look forward to with plenty of choices. If we had a choice, we would have stayed longer as it’s so relaxing

The wifi was patchy, at quiet times it was ok but at popular times it often dropped out. This was frustrating as we enjoyed watching films in the evening after our meal.

Beatiful tranquil haven in a quiet resort. The ground are beautiful, with constant care provided by friendly gardeners. Very comfortable, quiet villas which are thoroughly cleaned every day. The food is good at the resort but there are also lots of small eating opportunities a few minutes away along the beach. The resort itself is very peaceful but a livelier night life can be found by walkig up the beach a short way. The propriotors have been running the resort successfully for 10 years and they clearly know what they are doing! All the staff are extremely helpful and courteous, making our stay a relaxed experience. Trips, taxis etc can all be booked from reception and they are on hand of offer advice. We had a lovely time and hope to return.

Absolutely loved our villa. Perfect location with it being very quiet but right beside lots of restaurants and bars on the beach. The staff were fantastic as well as baan Thai the cat! The food here was really bloody good and it was presented like a piece of art. Best breakfast we've ever had in thailand. We will definitely come back!
