Absolutely amazing resort with a fully shaded pool. It was the hottest time of the year so it was great to have some shade. The staff were absolutely amazing and so welcoming. Great front area to chill in the bean bags. Absolutely recommend this gorgeous accommodation.

We opted for a villa, and upon arrival, we were pleasantly taken aback. The room boasted a luxurious feel, featuring a freestanding bath, separate shower, and toilet—exceeding our expectations from the photos. The garden and restaurant areas were delightful to spend time in, especially in the evenings with live music adding to the ambiance. We didn't utilize the swimming pool, the breakfast provided was decent..

- Just get to breakfast early If you want It to be fresh. Eggs cooked fresh but every thing else got abit dry.

There was nothing that we didn’t like

This is by far the best hotel we have stayed in since arriving in Thailand. We had a room with pool access and it was really nice to have that so we could relax right by the room. On arrival we were given a welcome drink and it was delicious, the breakfast had plenty of choice and they also had a good selection of cocktails which we enjoyed at night. We were warned of monkeys and we did see them, which was nice to see them in the wild and they did not bother us. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Pool didn’t officially open until 10am, which is quite late.

The hotel is in a great location, just 5 minutes walk from the main street of shops/restaurants and the main beach, but equally good distance to the other beach/walk. The hotel room was spacious, well equipped and we loved our little balcony. The pool area was clean, and the breakfast was pretty good (included baked beans and peanut butter which we haven’t seen elsewhere!), although could have done with more varied fresh fruit. We really liked the Monday movie night and there was live music on the other evenings. You have to get used to the monkeys being around but really it is quite a special experience! The staff were friendly and helpful.

Inattentive staff. No one helped with luggage, no friendly introduction, no one spoke to us. Breakfast was very mediocre. No one to help bags from pier to hotel which can be difficult with heavy luggage.

We have stayed at Avatar a few times and this was the best stay so far. While some guests might find the rooms a bit dark they stay nice and cool with the extreme heat outside. The aircon worked well, great water pressure in the shower, excellent wifi and very friendly, attentive staff. Of course there is a very nice cool pool to relax in. The breakfast was great with a nice variety of food to please everyone. The fantastic coffee/hot chocolate machine is a huge plus. Another nice touch is the cold and hot water machines which are located close to each room. We stayed for 9 nights and loved every moment of it and will definitely go back.
