“This is a magical place! It's pricey, but worth it. Our room was small (we knew that when we booked it) because we wanted to stay in the "hobbit" house. It's just adorable. Everything is built of, around and containing trees. There are wonderful forest walks to water cascades (much nicer than the cascades at Petrohue). The dinners were excellent, and we found a wine that we loved on the menu.”
“Everything was perfect! Friendly owners, beautiful views, delicious breakfast (especially the cakes), and of course an amazing view. It is a great central location for doing in town activities and exploring down the coast. Very comfortable and huge bed!”
“Breakfast was abundant, with multiple choices in terms of hot drinks, bread, and pastries. The dining room has a pleasant bright and beautiful view to the river. The girls in charge of serving were very attentive and kind. Everything was very clean an organized. Fruit was not available daily so I would only suggest to have a daily choice of fruit and whole wheat bread.
The view from our room was beautiful. The room has a comfortable bed as well as nice comfortable pillows. Everything in the room was nice , warm and clean including the bathroom.
The location is excellent. There is a beautiful waterfront where you can take a nice walk, contemplate the river and even have a surprising experience with the sea lions and other fauna. The hotel is located walking distance from downtown and from the famous River market- Mercado Fluvial. You can even take a solar powered taxi boat by a stop at the river near the hotel. There are several restaurants in the area and we really loved the Mesa Incognito Restaurant.”
“I loved everything about staying in Islote Haverback. It was amazing to stay in what felt like a remote forested island only a 40 minute walk from the centre of Valdivia (or 5 minute bus ride). The hosts of the property were delightful and super helpful and available for anything i needed. Guests need to consider you must coordinate for the boat to take you to and from the island, but this was super simple and immediate to arrange by phone. This did mean there was a "curfew" to be back approx 11pm, but as I wanted to relax on this holiday, it was perfect for me.”
