“Sauna was the only thing in this apartment which was okay.
Besides that the washing machine was probably expensive and fine - alas I didn't have any use for such - I'd have appreciated a bigger TV set and microwave oven much more.
On a hot summer day the guest would also appreciate real shadowing curtains and a real AC (air conditioning) unit. Because there is NO air conditioning though the host lists that the property is having one. (Reason is that many Finnish hosts believe that mechanical ventilation (=koneellinen ilmanvaihto) is the same thing as AC, air-conditioning. It is not. The difference is the same as it is in the cars: all cars have ventilation (ilmanvaihto) but not all cars have AC - this apartment definately has no AC - so buyers beware)”
“Good location, near a lot of the bars and restaurants in Rovaniemi. It has a sauna! First hostel I've stayed in with a sauna, and its decent too. Staff were really friendly. Good breakfast with plenty of options. Plenty of facilities in the kitchen area and all very clean.”
“Beautiful location with the restaurant overlooking the lake. The food in the restaurant was superb and an excellent breakfast.
Staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful
Would definitely recommend this hotel”
“The hotel has been renovated recently. Everything is brand new. There are not many restaurants around, so it is better to dine in the hotel, however you won’t regret it. The food is cooked well and presented in a high level.”
“The staff was friendly and helpful. Advised local places to eat. When we arrived before 8 p.m., they heated the sauna for us. The breakfast was great. There were steep stairs in the room, but they didn't bother us.”
“It’s a little paradise. Lots of stuff and activities to do. Santa Claus Village justifies its name to the T and yes we did meet and greet Santa :)
It is close to the Santa pets place which is a much visit as well.
It is on the Artic Circle which give you this surreal feeling.
Unfortunately we couldn’t see the husky farm or do some activities like the reindeer sledge as we went in the month of May. But no regrets. We will come back again to see the Northern Lights and experience other wintery stuff :):)”
“The fact that breakfast is designed by renowned master chef Sara LaFontain says it all. Variety of tastes and gourmet display in a pleasant environment in the Arctic restaurant. I stayed in a room with sauna. The room interior design is really unique and not to mention the quality coffee provided in the room. Staff was always available for additional info and great conversation.
Would definitely come back.”
