Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryThe neighbors were a bit loud but I guess can't ask for soundproof rooms. The room was a bit worn out.
The breakfast is basic but sufficient. The location is perfect. Next to the main square. The staff was helpful and nice.

AustraliaSomebody’s hair under the pillow (fresh sheets?), the only window consisted of a fixed pane of glass with no curtain and two wooden shutters underneath, this opened onto a small vestibule containing the entrance and front desk - the result was a noisy, stuffy and permanently lit room with no privacy when we had the shutters open
Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff

United States of AmericaRoom was really humid as only ventilation was a window into the corridor. No fan in the room made it really hot at night for 2 pax
Great location, friendly staff, nice breakfast, overall great value. Offered a number of services including airport transfer at fair prices, and more that we didn't take up ourselves.

United KingdomThe noise in the rooms on the first floor (ask for a room on the second floor)
Very friendly, helpful staff and the location is just one block from the main square. Loved the authentic, old fashioned feel of this terrific historic hotel.

United KingdomThe old style has its downsides. I believe this hotel had better days. The room's doors are old and it felt as anyone could easily open them, above them some windows that stayed open as the only source of air.No other windows in my room. The bathroom's door was unlockcable, broken tiles and webcobs under the sink, the shower tap were wobbly and only drip of water. One small towel, toilet roll and remote controls for the TV were given by the receptionist. With some extensive renovations and keeping the old style features, this hotel would have been unique.
Welcoming friendly staff, even borrowed adaptor as mine was mistakenly the wrong one. The cook in the morning was good and caring. He served what I think was freshly squeezed mango. Fresh bread that I didn't eat and scrambled eggs by my request. The building has nice marble floor and tiled in some areas in old fashioned style and looks nice

IsraelThe hotel was under renovation so the noise was quite disturbing. Assuming, of course, that this is only temporal, you shouldn't worry about it I guess
The staff was very helpful and great and it was very close to the historic center, so if you are after more authentic experience this is the place for you

Abkhazia, GeorgiaI was in Lima for four days and I couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The Santa Rosa is just a few steps away from the Lima Cathedral, and that alone puts it on top of places to stay in Lima. The rooms and hotel are kept immaculately clean and the staff is very nice.

United States of AmericaThe facilities are horribly outdated to the point that everything looks unclean. The booking.com website said breakfast was included, but after I got there and had 4 breakfasts, we were told it was 10PEN per person per day. It was an OK breakfast, but you can get a lot of breakfast for 10 PEN at the numerous restaurants all over. The floor in our bedrooom was so worn and cracked that nails were popping out. They could at least paint the floors! This place could look and be so much better with very little effort.
The location is just one block from the Plaza Mayor and one block from the Covento Santo Domingo. Most all the main historic churches and museums are within easy walking distance. Our bathroom was remodeled and had hot water most days. One day it did not. The staff tried very hard to be helpful.

United States of AmericaThe location was excellent and the rooms are historic, however, the facility is requiring deeper cleaning of the rooms. I found old soap from the prior residents of the room. The rooms were also very dusty. We came during the winter, and our towels would not dry. So we had to ask staff to provide us new towels, which was not always given with ease. The room we stayed in had the water on the floor, so we had to use a towel to soak up the water.
The location was excellent and the breakfast was very comforting. A kind older man prepared our food every morning. They provided freshly cooked eggs, coffee, bread. It felt like I was eating in my grandfather’s kitchen. In addition, their airport pickup for us was seamless. My group had two different pickup times (one very early in the morning and one in the evening) and the hotel managed this perfectly.
