Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe bathroom sink would not drain. Had to prop the stopper up. Bathroom had an odd smell.
Location was great. Easy walk from train station. Next to the old church and close to attractions. Room was small but comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Good selection of food on white tablecloth and delft salt and pepper shakers. Would stay here again.

TaiwanThe location is perfect, right next to the old church. It's walkable to the central area. When I walked into the hotel, I always smelled rose fragrance. It was so relaxing.

United States of AmericaThere are MANY steps in this hotel - our room was up a flight, down 4-5 steps, down a few more, then up 6-8 once we got into the room. Not unusual for a hotel in an older building, but inconvenient when carrying luggage. A refrigerator in room would have been nice too. Bathroom had a musty smell.
Location was pretty good, just a few blocks from the main square in Delft. The room was quite large.

NetherlandsThe hotel's location was fantastic, just a hop from the train station. Breakfast had plenty of tasty options, but the omelet didn't quite hit the spot. The room, on the ground floor with a street view, was clean and cozy. However, until the street cleared of people and cyclists, it wasn't very quiet; fortunately, it quietened down later in the night.

NorwayNothing, really; the building is a bit tight (not spacious), but this is, I guess, how one expects it in the Netherlands if it is in the city center.

ItalyI feel that the breakfast could be improved, especially considering the price. With a bit more variety and options, it could truly elevate the morning dining experience.
The Museumhotel in Delft is a gem with its unbeatable location and charming decor that really sets the mood for your stay. Sure, the single room might be a tad small, but honestly, once you're out and about exploring or soaking in the atmosphere of Delft, you won't even notice. It's all about the experience, and this place nails it!

GermanyThe noise insulation provided by the historic single-pane windows is poor. It was better after I checked the window and made sure that it was closed. Apparently, the previous user had problems with the window's mechanism. Still, it was possible to clearly hear the conversation of pedestrians and cyclists passing by on the street below the windows. This wasn't a real issue because I slept well and neither voices nor church bells woke me up. The line at check-in was very long and I had to wait a significant time although I had used the online check-in. Unexpectedly, I had to choose specific time for breakfast for each day, and this time was different for different days as on some days the most convenient time was already blocked by a large group. It would have been good to receive a written reminder of these breakfast times. Breakfast apparently costs 20€ when not included in the room price.
Great location in the center of Delft and close enough to the train station. Good breakfast.

BelgiumThere was a big water stain on one side of the room, and the windows directly faced a lane connecting to the city centre. This meant people could see into the room, so I had drawn the curtains throughout my stay for privacy.
Historic hotel, with extremely welcoming, attentive, and cheerful staff. My room had comfy bed and had all that I needed for a two-night stay. Surprisingly, given the location and the nights I chose to stay at the hotel (close to the King's day festivities), outside noise was minimal.

DenmarkNo body soap in room and no Iron but everything else was perfect. I survived..
Location was better than perfect. However, the bells from the nearby church rang every hour... Even during the night. However, who cares when you snore even louder? 😁 If you don't, get some earplugs

BelgiumThe bed had a double mattress, so it was too soft and felt uncomfortable. My room was not in the main residence, so it didn't feel as being in a hotel. There were tea/coffee facilities in the room, but unfortunately no water in the room (it was available for purchase in a vending machine at the building entrance, which was not practical
Very central but also super close to the station. The main building is a little treasure, the breakfast residence is also very nice and cosy. Staff was very helpful.

AustraliaI asked for a twin room for me and my son and we seem to have been given the honeymoon suite which featured a queen bed, a giant leather couch and a shower with no shower curtain or door. Great for romance perhaps but not really for our party though we were so exhausted from our flight we just fell asleep. If we had planned a longer stay or weren't completely jetlagged we would have asked to change our room.
Short easy walk from the train station, atmospheric buildings right next to a gorgeous canal. We opted to pay for breakfast as nothing was open early on New Years and it was very tasty and the breakfast staff were quite friendly. The front desk person was very friendly but didn't have much in the way of useful information about what might or might not be open. The room had stunningly weird but interesting decor.
