Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ChinaIn my eyes, the couple bad reviews on here don't do the place justice. When I arrived at the main gate at night a kind security guard walked me all the way to the reception, where a very polite receptionist handled my checkin quickly and gave me all the instructions I needed to find my room. The room itself is rather simple, it only has beds and lockers, but everything worked and was clean. As the windows open to the courtyard, there was very little noise. The bathroom is well dimensioned for a hostel of this size (6 showers, 6 sinks, 6 WC) and the water pressure was perfect. Also, you get a big comfy towel at checkin. The breakfast that's included is a simple one, sure, but you can't expect a big buffet at this price, and the coffee was surprisingly good. So yes, all in all I'm very happy with my stay, felt safe and well taken care of all the time and did get some good sleep. However, if you're looking for a party/community hostel, this is not the right one for you.

United States of AmericaI wish there was a little more signage on arrival. It's way in the back on the first floor. First I went upstairs, with all of my luggage, upps. All in all loved the funky decor, but I felt like the bathroom floors should have been tiled, for cleanliness.
Great location, great price. I WILL RETURN.

United States of America*** guest checked in Saturday @11p. he SNORED! I woke up @1.30a-2.30a-3.30a-4.30a-5.30a-6.30-7.30a and told him to ROLLOVER. he left Sunday for a late nite flight to Yucatan. 2. wrote a MEMO to Owner-Management to convert ALL incandescent lights to LED to save $1,000's. 3. Please ADD: faucets, showers, and toilets WASTE WATER! High-flow should be reduced. Hot shower water runs COLD too long. simple changes will save $1,000's. 4. DECEMBER 2012-- Grand Opening Month-- FREE WELCOME DRINK. AND Full Breakfast Buffet -- now only 2 slices white bread-butter-jam-average coffee, fruit: banana, apple, or pear. ONLY 1. 5. STILL 9.5/10*.
NO BEDBUGS, but giant mosquitoes outside at nite. i'm prepared with Repellant and applied a line around the mattress....just in case. very bright lighting.ALL VERY QUIET! NOT A PARTY HOSTEL. 4 SINGLE BEDS!!! No bunks are old bones-friendly.

Spainthe lockers are ridiculous and small has no point to leave all bags and luggages downstairs if you stay for long periods. a t-shit was stolen and when reported and mentioned that It was 200% sure who took it as there was only one checkout in the room and suggested they could contact him in order to show if it was an accidental mistake they mentioned and agreed to contact him while forwarding me in BCC and no one took action. it’s not for the value but the meaning of it
it’s really well located in the center but as the hostel sits inside there’s quite privacy and almost no noise. nice options as they are located in a great building with one of my fav restaurants Azul Histórico.

United Kingdomwe understand it was a budget stay but felt it was style over substance - more amenities needed in the room eg hooks to hang clothes and towels on, hairdryer or communal hairdryer, bedside lights, plugs by bed. also private room that we stayed in was right outside main bathroom area so was noisy.
location, price and felt very safe as was in a wider complex

LithuaniaThe room was without windows, so it felt it was lacking fresh air and daylight. Also, the bathrooms and showers are technically outside, so with Mexico city weather getting pretty chilly in the night, it gets pretty cold to go and wash up before bed or during a night run to the WC.
The location is exceptional if you want to visit anything downtown. The house is pretty impressive, otherwise the room beds were nice, and just 1 level (no bunk beds in my room). And the best shower I honestly had in Mexico. With amazing water pressure and as much hot water as I wanted, was really hard to get out of it after a long day out :D It was very silent for a downtown hostel, due to the room being in the "inner yard".

BelgiumThere is no wifi in the rooms. The breakfast is just 2 slices of bread, and some fruit, that if you're lucky. The hostel is cheap so you cannot really expect much more. It did not have a very social vibe.
Quite good location in the center, still quiet from the streets. Beds are comfortable. Even though on top of a bunk it's just a small divider between 2 people,so that can be weird. The rooms are spacious.

RussiaShowers have no shelves, and just 1 hook. Nowhere to put your things but on the wet floor. Reception is almost always empty. Music is always playing in the common area. No place to sit quietly with a laptop. Outlets at the bed can't hold the plug. No light at the bed.
Location and design are great. People who work in the kitchen were very nice and helpful. Lovely terrace on the top but without wifi there. The place is quiet clean.

Faroe Islands- Wifi has poor coverage - No free driving water provided - plugs in the main common area are not working - squeaking door hinges like most hostels ;)
Nicely designed hostel. Well thought through and works great. Nice styling. Book this place and you will be happy. Maybe a little dark with the dim lighting, but also cool too. Wifi in the rooms is pretty poor so you'll have to keep going outside to the common "atrium" to get wifi signal.

Brazil- Wi-Fi didn’t work in the rooms; - no kitchen available; no fridges to store our food; employees didn’t like it when we entered the kitchen for some reason (example: water) - no touristic basic information during check in (Restaurants nearby, breakfast time, hostel facilities) - information about potable water was controversial among employees. Some said there was filtered water at one of the kitchens taps; other said it was not clean for drinking, and brought water from another place; - no shower gel or shampoo at the showers for 2 days in a row; - no shelves in the shower to put our clothes while taking a shower. I had to put mine on the floor. - no space in the bathroom counter to leave our nécessaire (small bag with toothbrush, comb etc) or our individual towel, because there are no hangs or hooks either. - convex mirrors in the bathroom; very bad. - poor breakfast - no individual lamp for each bed of the shared rooms. - the rooms are very dark; very difficult to see things during the day. - I think that the managers are way more worried about the guests of the hotel they have there together with the hostel than about the hostels guests, and one of the reasons for that may be because the reception is shared.
- some the staff were nice and thoughtful.
