We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United States of AmericaThe lack of English speaking and understanding front desk, after advertising of such. I also had to come back the next day to retrieve a phone charger I’d left behind. Using my translation app I asked if my phone charger was recovered. Instead of looking in lost and found, or seeing notes entered into the room, he brought me to the room, not once but twice to intrude and interrupt the guest that rented in the room. Waiting 1+ hours for the day manager to arrive, I was given my charger. The night manager even tried to convince me I didn’t leave it there. I held my ground knowing I had. Alls well that ends well.

MexicoHad issues trying to access my room during check in. The door car reader was not working and I had to wait until next morning to get a technician replace the battery of the reader. Check-in took more than expected. In the meantime I got moved to another room and this got opened by other guests then I got moved back to my original room. Everything went smooth after the check in

BulgariaThe room had cockroaches, the towels smelled funny, the bed sheets had holes in them. Also the breakfast was literally some cereal and very stale pastries which tasted bad. Wifi kept dropping all the time.
Quite a spacious room. And the location is fine - walking distance to city center. The area is outside the prime center but not sketchy or unsafe. Also the staff were kind and spoke English, which I do appreciate.

Costa RicaThe hotel is located at the city center, so to get there you will need to pay an expensive taxi/uber. Seems this was a different property before and looks dated. Neighbourhood is kind of dangerous depending the direction you walk. Bathroom was not in the best condition, lack of maintenance was noticeable. Breakfast is basically a french toast, coffee/juice and yogurt for the included breakfast rate. When we got there the property indicated that our booking was not generated by booking, i had to make a few calls to booking to get it sorted out(we arrived quite late at night so i was a big deal for us)
I booked this in advanced so the price was about right, staff was nice and lobby was open 24 hours

MexicoRun down, awful breakfast and located in a poor neighborhood that was unsafe at night and not very reassuring during the day. I left after my first night, having lost the cost of two further nights. This is a Best Western only by name, which is not even displayed on the building (I had to ask the receptionist on arrival if it was tge right place).
