Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

United KingdomFantastic guesthouse in beautiful dhangethi run by Areef who is the most incredibly attentive host . Nothing is too much for him . He helped us with EVERYTHING , transfers excursions etc…, we didn’t have to worry about anything he had all bases covered. He took us around the island and recommended places to eat /things to do . He took us on a trip to see mantas and whale sharks . He even lent us a phone when we went out for the day to another island in case we needed to get in touch or needed help , and called us at the end of the day to inform us of boat times and delays. Areef is very knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with him about the maldives , culture/religion /daily life/ traditions and the marine life, we learned so much in the 3 days we spent at sky view. The guesthouse is modern and clean , very comfortable bed , spacious room and bathroom with an excellent shower . Stunning tropical Garden to sit out and relax and where breakfast is served in the morning. And all of that is great but the reason you should book this place is Areef! That man takes attention to detail to another level , his service skills , attentiveness and dedication to making your trip extra special will make your stay an unforgettable experience . THANK YOU SO SO MUCH Areef for your wonderful hospitality, Stuart and ruth ( England +spain )

United KingdomThe rooms were comfortable and clean. They were serviced every day. Breakfast was good and on a couple of days we had a Maldivian breakfast. Areef took me in several excellent trips to see the Whale shark and Manta Rays. Another trip was to the derelict resort island which had excellent soft corals and loads of fish plus a moray eel.

Czech RepublicSometimes maybe slow wifi, but that's a small thing when you're in such a fantastic place. Otherwise nothing!
We love absolutely everything about this accommodation and especially Areef as a host. He is very kind, nice and helpful - he gave us a tour of the island and always helped us with everything, he made our holiday so much better. The accommodation itself is great and clean, it has everything you need. The hotel environment is very pleasant with a garden - i loved it. Dhangethi island has lots of beautiful places that are a short walk from accommodation. I was visited multiple accommodations in the Maldives and Sky View was clearly the best both in amenities and host, and hope to return here sometime. Thank you and good luck Areef!

What a great place! We were treated like kings! Areef is the best, he took us around the island, gave us lots of tips, picked us up/dropped us at the harbour, organised trips for us, etc. 100% recommended!

ItalyThis guest house wooden-boutique style is a perfect choice for a perfect stay in Dhangethi. The room was super cozy, fully equipped and clean. The garden, with the typical maldivian swing chair and other nice amenities, plus banana and coconut trees, is super nice if you want to relax and talk with Areef which will take care of you from the arrival to the departure. Not just a very local experience, Areef has dedication for his place and for his guests, he provides a fair breakfast, free snorkeling equipment (good quality) and support 24h, he shows me the island and he brought us (me and the other in house guests) to a whale shark and manta adventure for a fair price. 100% recommended. The quality of the stay compared to the price was unbelievable. Thank You Areef, you are doing amazing! Hope to see you again!

United KingdomNothing...other than the mosquitoes!!!
Island absolutely beautiful! Location absolutely brilliant - so close to the beach and the restaurants. Room great - everything you need for a stay in the Maldives. Breakfast super, provided with as much tea and coffee as you want! Lovely and quiet as only 4 rooms. But the best part of the accommodation is without doubt Areef the host. He literally cannot do any more for you. I read the positive reviews on here about him and basically booked this bed and breakfast because of Areef - I was entirely right to do so. He is so customer orientated, such a friendly guy, and you can contact him at all times. I got burnt and he brought me some alovera plant. He takes you on all these wonderful trips to swim with the manta, sharks. What an amazing human! Such a relaxing place, you never want to leave!

United States of AmericaSince I gave the place a 10/10, which it deserves, I'm having a hard time finding things to complain about, but I'll try, to be fair, even if it means being nitpicky. 1) The body soap and shampoo came in those tiny little containers so you had to move the body (hand) soap back and forth from the shower to the sink. I prefer having larger dispensers as well as dedicated hand soap next to the sink. 2) Perhaps the wifi speed could be better. As I mentioned above, it wasn't great but it was good. 3) The welcome drink contained Sprite. I would have preferred something more natural. 4) There were mosquitoes, but there are mosquitoes everywhere in the Maldives. Improve on those things and Sky View will be an 11 out of 10. :-)
We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay at Sky View. We felt very welcome from the beginning. Areef met us at the ferry, walked us over to the place, and gave us a welcome drink. He then showed us around the island and made some recommendations for where to eat, swim, and snorkel. He really understands how to take great care of you while also giving you space, which we appreciated. He also fulfilled our only two requests: 1) we asked for and received a Maldivian breakfast instead of the continental breakfast that he planned to serve us; and 2) we were able to change from a room without a window to a room with a window. (Perhaps you won't be able to get/do that during high season, but we stayed there during low season.) The wifi worked very well (but wasn't perfect, as per usual in the Maldives). We booked a whale shark snorkeling tour on our last day and were thankful that Areef worked hard to make sure we spotted several of the amazing animals (as well as some dolphins). The outdoor seating area is very relaxing. You can borrow snorkeling gear for free. We stayed 4 nights and easily could have stayed longer (mostly thanks to Areef)!

Sky view is a new hotel with 4 rooms, managed really well by Areef, who also does some of the tours. The courtyard garden is exactly like the pictures and, like Dangethi, is calm and peaceful. I came here specifically to see the whale sharks and, due entirely to Areef's guidance, was lucky to see one. I spent 8 days here and could have easily spent more. The bikini beach is small but works. The local reef is interesting, but ask Areef for tips on where else to go to and try to have him as your tour guide if you can- for snorkelers especially.

SpainThe window room was interior, but we only were there to sleep, so not a big problem. And the house has a nice patio, full of plants and space to chill out.
Brand new room, big bed (little hard for me), good bathroom and shower. Clean place and gently managed by Areef, an all-round man, who became our friend in Dhangethi, showing the island, cooking for us, and even taking us for an amazing boat trip with dolphins and whale shark!!

PolandIt was amazing stay. Areef and Bill are very friendly. They took us around the island and advised what we can do on Dhangethi. Areef who runs the hotel is amazing person and take care of the guests with all his heart. Is always ready to help with a smile and really polite. Hotel is small, private, perfectly clean and quiet, with adorble small garden outside. Don't miss maledivian breakfast (it's really tasty). I totally recommend to stay here. 5 mins by walk to the beach and 3 mins to the restaurants with amazing view and delicious local food. We were with Areef on excursions - small groups and friendly atmosphere (We saw Manta-Rays! <3 ). He also helped us to organize by ourself half-day trip to Dhigurah island (took us to the harbour and helped to catch the speedboats). The island has amazing bikini beach with incredible house reef where you can see baby sharks, stingrays, corals and plenty of fishes. Sunset there is stunning. You can also find some grocery and souvenir shops in the center of the island. People on Dhangethi are very friendly and you can feel welcome there.

MoroccoBreakfast was the same everyday, to be fair we never asked to change it or whether it is possible to have other options. I believe if we did we would get to some agreement, but would be good to have the possibility to choose between two options maybe. Water has an odor, but the co-owner told us that there is a big work ongoing in the island and that should be solved, but anyways that's a problem I believe of all locals islands (bring an allergy eye drops or any other drops to protect your eyes, if they are sensitive like mine). Bring your mosquito repellent, Dhangethi is not sprayed.
It's a great value for the money, guesthouse is managed by an amazing authentic Maldivian man, Areef, who is extremely helpful, and you can count on him to show you all the nicest spots of the islands and have great trips. We had an island tour when we arrived and he organaized for us some beautiful trips too. Don't hesitate to contact him to get informations. We loved Dhagetthi thanks to this man! We were welcomed by refreshing drinks and we said goodbye to each other with a beautiful coconut from the garden. Guesthouse is cosy and comfortable, rooms are minimalistic, cleaned everyday. Close to bikini and public beach. Free snorkeling equipment in case you can't bring yours. Dhangethi is a beautiful island with great restaurants ( Compass was our favourite) and great reef, we saw many times baby sharks and manta without any effort of searching.

SerbiaBreakfast satisfying but always same, monotonous. Unpleasant smell from the sewage, the drain in the bathroom is getting clogged. a large number of flies in the room from the ventilation. Misunderstanding related to the payment of the whale shark Excursion. It isn't noted that you have to paid full price although they were not seen. Fortunately, it turns out we were lucky to see them on the second attempt. So we paid "just" twice. Personally we had no such expirience before on other Malediven islands . After all they mentioned that the chances are 50% to see them, and it's all about a nature..
Small local tradicional island, full of greenery, not overcrowded. Just a few restorants with acceptable service and basic offer. White, small and clean bikini beach with a fence on the most beautiful part of the beach. Have a reef for snorkeling. Accommodation is well maintained by one guy Areef who tried to pleased what he can. Room are spacious, with ac, small fridge, hot shower water, good beds, good WI-fi. Garden is clean and green, small but enough to take a breakfast and short daily rest. You can use snorkeling geer and beach towels. You can also visit Dhigurah daily with speed boat transfer $10pp one way, if you need a really long and beautiful bikini beach.

RomaniaNothing to dislike, perfect 10!
We (3 rooms, 5 people) chose this location based on the other reviews praising it. They were 1000% accurate. This was the best experience in Maldives, and we've stayed in several places on several islands. Areef, the host, is a wonderful person and friend; he did his absolute best to provide us the best experience on the island, around the island, and his villa. He took us on a free trip to a nearby uninhibited island with an old/closed resort, we had the whole island all for ourselves. He showed us the best snorkeling spots, the best places to eat, the whole island. He took us on trip to see the whale sharks and manta rays and turtles, and unlike other boats, he did his best to position us perfectly to see these giants. He even stayed longer and continued to scan the area until we found a second group of manta rays, which we swam with all alone. With everything, he really tried his best to please you. And this is what matters most. He even offered us small coconut trees to take home with us as a souvenir. The rooms were clean, breakfast was great, we were offered free snorkeling gear, he even found masks for us instead of goggles. If we return to Maldives, we will definitely visit Areef again!

United KingdomExceptionally well-run and comfortable guest house! Things we liked: - The work ethic and friendliness of Areef. He worked nonstop to make our stay perfect. When we departed he came down to the harbour to make sure there were no complications with our boat and we left on time - The room was fantastic. Immaculately clean and very functional. Internet 10/10. Cleaned every day. The shower was piping hot and like something from a 4-star hotel - Location is excellent just a 5-minute walk from Bikini Beach and a similar distance to the brilliant Compass Restaurant located on the beach - Beautiful quiet and clean inner courtyard where everyone has breakfast. There is somewhere to wash off the sand before going into the building which ensures everything stays clean - Areef as mentioned does everything in his power to ensure a good time is had. He even pointed me to the local football pitch where I was able to join a game of 5 a side - The price of the accommodation is excellent and offers unrivalled value for money from our experiences of travelling the Maldives - Dhangethi is a lovely community island. Here you experience the real Maldives. There are only 5-6 guesthouses so tourists do not overwhelm the atmosphere like they do on other islands - Dhangethi is a great place to base yourself if you want to see Dhigurah. Dhangheti is much more intimate and enjoyable to stay on. We did a speedboat day trip to Dhigurah for $10 each way which was a sufficient time there. It felt great to 'come home' to Dhangethi after

GermanyThe first night we had to stay at a different room, because there was some problem at Sky view. This room was alright, but not as nice as the sky view rooms. Also it did not have any wifi, but Areef bought us a sim card instead and in the end we got a little discount on the whaleshark tour.
Areef is a perfect host! He took very good care of everything and we could reach him anytime during our stay. We did a whaleshark snorkeling tour on his speedboat and got the perfect swim with these gentle giants. Before going diving very early in the morning, Areef even prepared breakfast for us. Thanks again, it was perfect :).

ItalyThe breakfast was the same every day, it was fine for us, maybe for someone it can be a problem.
Areef, the host, was a cornerstone to make our vacation wonderful. First of all, he helped us book the speedboat, picked us up at the port and showed us around the island. I highly recommend taking the excursions with him. When you go to an island of this type, the relationship with your host is essential and for this reason I recommend the structure. Regarding the room it was clean, adequate space and perfect bathroom. Don't expect a particular view from the window, but there is a really nice garden where you can have breakfast and relax. The position is perfect. I highly reccomend Dhangethi, wonderful people, good restaurants, it has all you needs, ATM, pharmacy, emercency, etc.
