100%! Absolutelly satisfied with such hotel facility as well as the whole personell. The room was modern, very clean and comfortable, much more than we even expected. Moreover, there was possibility to borrow bikes for free, the snorkling equipment too, so no own things needed. Beautiful Island with magnifique (calm !) beaches, if you are truly not lover of crowded places you will find this as a huge advantage as we did. Special ackowledgement for Ripon, whose approach had been priceless, very helpful and willing. Although the weather was not always optimal, he did his best to take us for a snorking trip. The food was always tasty and well prepared. 10/10

Communication was lacking during the confusion with the cancelled boat, unfortunately with our phones not working and the late cancellation there wasn't an easy solution, I appreciate the difficulty. But maybe there should be a back up plan or another form of communication put in place before hand. Either way the mistake was more than made up for

The staff, the service, the food and the rooms were all fantastic. The manager went above and beyond to improve our stay after a rocky start and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and helpful at all times. We had some issues with our booked boat transfer from Male to Maamigili where Koimala is located. The boat was cancelled due to either technical issues or Ramadan depending on who you asked, and we ended up having to find our own transport half way, after which the Hotel then came out to pick us up. As you can imagine this put a major damper on the start of our holiday, but as I mentioned the manager went above and beyond to make it up to us with free upgrades and excursions to apologise for the mix up. Other than that, the sheets had some marks and the shower had seen better days. But the rooms were clean and tidy, the food was lovely with a good range of more western food and local fair. The hotel itself was cosy, super close to the beach and in a safe friendly area. All in all, I would definitely come back - fantastic service.

We didn't care for the food, but this isn't just the hotel food. The food everywhere on the island is limited and not the best for healthy eating. The flies are a problem. You need to understand that the island is not a resort. You are living with the locals and as they do. The island has a way to go with helping with the environment and protecting their main tourist industry.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The island people are also very nice and friendly. WiFi is good. Perfect location right in the centre of town. Relaxing and quiet.

I arrived at Maamigili with a speedy boat from Male of 14:00, smooth journey. Rifat kindly booked the ride for me and informed me in advance about transfer options reach the island. Staff from Koimala was waiting for me at the getty and took me to the hotel. I received a VeryNice welcome with a towel to clean my hand a juice.. Check in was straight forward and my room on the ground floor was ready and clean. It's not a 5 star hotel but you'll get 5☆service and experience! There is a ceiling fan and AC in the room. I used only the fan:-) as I dislike AC. They would clean the room everyday. Staff were all super kind and attentive to accomodate any request. Also the massage chair located upstairs are nice😏 The atmosphere in this place is superb! A special special special thank you goes to Ripon (Not Ciro, but DON CIRO🤣🤣) He looks after the escursions program with the collaboration of fantastic Michela!super kind and super attentive- they would do anything to make sure you enjoy your time during the excursion and later. I've seen whale sharks(a dream became true!!on the second trip- it can happen that you don't see these creature- it's not guaratee, but the manager agreed a reduced price for the second trip). Also the trips to see mantas, turtles, black and white tip sharks, dolphins, corals and many more sea creatures were amazing. Ripon has been so kind to share also some videos/pictures. And he was always happy to help. This guy does works a lot!👏👏👏🙏 Koimal is located in the middle of the island and you really can reach any point of the coast within 5/10 min. Food is nice, i had the majority of my meals there, but if you are on BB, like me, you can also try local restaurants as BEAK and The Chef, and more... at walking distance. Staff will drop you to the bikini beach and other getty if you don't want to walk for 5/10 minutes😏if they are available, they are always very happy to help.

Koimala is a very cozy and quiet place in a good location. If you are lazy to make a short walk to the beach nearby, you may use bicycles provided for free. The host and all the staff are beyond all praise- friendly, polite and attentive to all your needs. Our room was clean and equipped with all necessaries. As for the kitchen, you may order preferred meals by menu and enjoy it freshly prepared in a very convenient dining area with a family atmosphere. I highly recommend also the excursions offered by Koimala Hotel - the team is making all efforts to help you feel the wide range of emotions while observing the wild nature.

Fantastic place, everyone was really friendly, rooms were clean and the food was very great. Ripon and Michela also were really amazing taking us out for excursion to see mantas and whale sharks, a wonderful experience.

The room was a little tired. We were on the ground floor and the room backed onto an alley to another property so we didn’t feel like we could open the curtains as people were coming and going. For the price and it being full board it was still great value for money.

We felt really well looked after by all the staff at both the guesthouse and on the excursions. We were able to see a whale shark which was the main reason for visited as well as snorkelling on some lovely reefs. The sandbar excursion was a highlight. There are few guesthouses on the island so we got to experience more of local life.

Staff was amazing, they were able to organize tours and transfers. Food is decent. The rooms are clean and good size. Most of the island is walkable, Guest beach is fairly close and great place to see the sunset and swim. Recommend doing the manta ray tour.

You really have to go looking into tiny details to find something wrong, I won;t do that. We had FANTASTIC holidays and the gusthouse had a lot to do with this.

The atmosphere in the hotel is great: the staff is very friendly, there's a homey vibe and he even got upgraded by the helpful manager; what else could we ask for? This is not the Hilton, but it delivers what it promises, there's even massage chairs for free. The excursions were all AMAZING, many thanks to all the staff and special thanks to Ripon, who helped us more than he is supposed to. We swam with whale sharks, dived with manta rays, saw turtles, spent hours alone on a deserted island, it was all perfect, always with a smile. The location is excellent, many shops around, walking to the wonderful and deserted bikini beach is easy, we enjoyed vicinity to El Chef restaurant, too. I can't think of a better choice, a local guesthouse that delivers. If you came that far, look no further and book.
