Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SloveniaI had the pleasure of staying at Hodhufas Villa on Thoddoo Island in the Maldives. The villa is perfectly located in the heart of the island, close to shops and wonderful dining spots, including a restaurant run by a fellow Slovenian. The accommodation is impeccably clean and beautifully maintained, offering a remarkably rich and delicious breakfast every morning. Thoddoo Island itself is a fascinating destination with stunning beaches that are perfect for relaxation and exploration. The owner of Hodhufas Villa is incredibly hospitable and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect, whether it’s organizing excursions, providing local recommendations, or arranging transportation. I highly recommend this accommodation for an unforgettable stay. You won't be disappointed.

SwitzerlandThis is exactly the type of accommodation that will be remembered for life because it has that perfect mix of beauty, comfort and hospitality. At the center of it all is the host Shifau. He's super kind and welcoming and sooo laid back. You will immediately slow down and relax like never before. The day starts with a breakfast of your choice - we opted for Maldivian every day and the mas huni (prepared by Shifau's mother) was so tasty and nutritious that you forget about being hungry for the rest of the day. The room is large with good air-con (we appreciated the low-noise mode at night). The bed is comfortable and perfect after a whole day at the beach snorkeling. The garden surrounding the villa is fantastic and there is also a terrace upstairs to relax in the evening. Imho location is also great, as it's close to the western beautiful side of the island and you can easily reach the 2 bikini beaches through lush plantations and coconut groves. We initially thought bicycles are needed (and Shifau can organize some for you), but in the end we walked everywhere because that's so enjoyable as there is always something to observe. We also opted for one dinner at the beach. Shifau and his team can organize it for you and we thought it's a magical experience: you will enjoy good food, barefoot, while watching the sun go down.

ArgentinaThe bed and the pillows were the best and comfiest that we had in the all Maldives. The property it’s exactly as they shown in the photos. Everything clean and tidy. You have also a nice terrace to practice yoga or to read a book and chill after a sunny and hot day at the beach. They welcomed you with fresh coconuts wich is a really nice gesture. The breakfast was so complete. Different options to choose plus a lot of spreads, fruits, coffee, tea and a fresh juice of the day. They also have the filter for the water at the reception wich is really good to fill your bottles all the time. The owner of the place was really present, and welcoming us so good. They pick u up for the port when you arrive and also when you leave. Don’t hesitate to be in touch with them to arrange the transfers between the islands if you need it. Also, absolutely recommend to rent a bike to explore the island.

SloveniaNothing, had a very pleasant stay.
We felt very welcome and at home. Host was very personal with us and made sure we felt good at all times. He also arranged speedboat transfer for us and another private transfer that we needed to go between islands. Guesthouse was clean and well maintaned, with a colorful garden in front.

SpainOur stay at Hudhufas Villa was fabulous. The place was spotless and tidy, cute and cosy. The double bed apartaments on the top floor were very spacious and wonderfully decorated on our arrival, A/C and fan in the rooms, a huge terrace upstairs with a chill out corner and sunbeds. Breakfast in the mornings had a wonderful variety, a mixture of fresh fruits and vegs, omellete, toast, and a whole load of other foods. The owners are happy to prepare anything to make you feel comfortable and at home. But overall, Shifau, the owner, was the person who made our stay this good. From the beginning he was very welcoming and helped us throughout our stay. Anything we needed or asked, he was a great help and always found a solution for us. Very good and warm hearted. 100% recommended.

ChinaA fantastic place! Just like in the photos. In the best way possible, feels more like a nice Airbnb, not a typical guest house with a row of rooms. On my last night, other guests already checked out, so the villa was all for me. Atmosphere: The design is simple and beautiful. Patio on the ground floor serves as your breakfast "hall". You let them know every evening what you'd like for breakfast and what time (I always asked for Maldivian breakfast - delicious mas honi with different vegetables and fruits). There are just four rooms, each very spacious and clean, with a good new AC and a ceiling fan. There is a super inviting terrace on the second floor with sun beds, bean bags, and a coffee table, where you can relax in the sun or chill in the shade. Also great for star watching at night! Perks: Freshest fruit and chilled coconut as welcome treats 😊 A great plus - free unlimited purified water, super helpful. You can use the kitchenette to make tea, coffee, cut up fruit. I know there is a small fee for using the kitchen for proper cooking, but I didn't cook, so don't know the details. Rooms are cleaned every day, the beddings changed every third day. The bed is super comfy, linens crisp, and towels soft. Communication: The owner speaks great English and is fast to reply on WhatsApp (same phone as in the villa listing). His mother is a lovely friendly lady (she will cook local flat breads for you every day, fresh and hot!) She gave me a goodbye present because I was such a lovely guest 😊 beautiful souvenirs from the sea that she collected and made herself. Diving etc: There is a tour operator nearby, or you can ask the villa owner directly to organize diving, fishing etc. I spent my days swimming and relaxing, so don't know the details. Trasfer and waiting for your flight: It was my first time in Maldives, so smooth transfer was important. Very well organized indeed! There was somebody to meet and direct me every step of the way.
