As soon as I saw the photos of this villa, I immediately wanted to stay here. And I wasn't disappointed! The interior design is amazing, with antique colonial-style furniture, decor, and fresh plants creating the perfect atmosphere and mood. The cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail are admirable. This applies to the room, the common living area, and the kitchen, which is easily accessible. The owner is hospitable, friendly and approachable. Few supermarkets are within walking distance.

Close to centre of city on a rise above the noise and traffic. Cargills supermarket is just around the corner and banks and ATMs are nearby. Very short walk into town or along the beachfront to restaurants. Great breakfast and Guyan went out of his way to get some mi kiri (buffalo curd), plus kitul treacle which is now hard to find. The property is new and built in the style of an old Dutch villa. It is new, clean and everything works - especially the air conditioning which is welcome after a day of out and about. It is also a good base for day visits to Mulkirigala, Wewurukannala Vihara and Matara (Star Fort, Old Matara Fort area) or beach visits.

WiFi was quite weak in the top rooms and the hot water wasn’t always reliable but they were still OK and could use the communal areas for wifi.

Lovely decorations and good location- near a big supermarket, wine store and other shops. Beach is 5 minutes away and some lovely restaurants for the evening are about 20 minutes away. Gayan is lovely and speaks amazing English

It took us a little while to find where the restaurants were that fit our requirements. Once we found out where they were, the location turned out to be good. Only about 20-25min walk.

Loved the quiet beautiful ambiance of old Dutch charm inside and around the property. The room was comfortable, enjoyed the terrace. Nice breakfast and Gayan was an amazing host.

The bed was pretty short and a little instabile. The room is missing a mosquito net.

The owner of the villa as well as his employee were incredibly friendly and supportive. They helped us with a laundry service and even arranged a safari tour at Udawalawe with a private driver who took us to Ella afterwards. They did their best to make us feel comfortable at any time. Moreover, they made us delicious local breakfast. They let us flexibly decide on the time breakfast being served and even prepared a breakfast package for our very early check-out. The room was very clean and the AC worked perfectly. We really enjoyed our stay!!!

There was no wifi signal in upper floor.

This place is just beautiful, we really liked how it is designed, modern and clean. The room is big with enough storage for the clothes and there is also shampoo, soup and hair dryer which is not so common in Sri Lanka. It is also short walking distance from the beach and restaurantes. The breakfast was delicious.

The decor of the villa is beautiful and it’s very well looked after and maintained. The staff are all lovely and the breakfast was amazing, they also took care to accommodate dietary requirements which was fabulous! It’s close enough to walk to several beaches and there are plenty of restaurants and a large super market nearby if you need it. We really enjoyed out stay.

We loved our stay and wished we stayed longer. The house is adorable and full of beautiful details, equipped with everything you need. We were mesmerised by our room, it was beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The location is perfect, just a few minutes from the beach and at the city center. The breakfast is delicious. The owner and his family are amazing people, helpful and friendly. We definitely recommend ToD.

Beautifully designed Dutch villa with an eye for details, set in a spacious and peaceful garden. The room is spacious and very comfortable with A/C, clean, and a lovely view from the top floor. Wonderful, thick, white towels provided, comfortable bed. The hosts are very friendly, the husband has studied hotel school, and it shows: top cleanliness, great service, comfort. He speaks fluent English. They serve an excellent breakfast in beautiful white china dishware, from a spotless, fully equipped European kitchen. There is also a washing machine available to do your laundry. The dining-room is very stylish, the lounge is very comfortable, the whole design is proof of knowledge and good taste. The location is ideal: a few minute walk from the center, and a few minute walk from the beaches.

A great place to stay in Tangalle. A Super stylish guest house, old world charm with modern twist. close to the beach and near to the town centre. Our host was happy to show me his vintage Mercedes and we even went for a spin in the Mini Moke.. fabulous !

Unfortunately we only stayed one night at this wonderful accommodation. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. A small terrace completes the whole setup. Our host was very kind and helpful. Once again thanks a lot for your hospitality.
