I cannot fault this place. Attention to details, beauty everywhere you looked, good breakfast, nice pool, lots of privacy as there’s only four rooms, plus the location is fantastic, you’re next to all the action, but without the noise. We loved the outdoor bathroom, that was special, and the dog is very well behaved. The lady owner is nice and helpful, acommodating every single request, she helped us with transport to our next location for a v good price. Namaste!

Nothing!! Absolute perfection. The only thing I could think of to add would be some foot mats by the bed.

The hotel was absolutely stunning and perfect, seems like every detail was very thought out. The breakfast was amazing with 4 different options and visually beautiful. It was my favourite hotel in Sri Lanka. The hosts especially made the experience even better as they communicated with us consistently the entire time, and even provided us with a huge list of things to do in Tangelle, and where to eat etc. I also loved outdoor shower, and the warm pool.

The villa is absolutely beautiful, with a gorgeous pool and the most friendly and helpful hosts. We had a perfectly clean room with an outdoor bathroom and shower which was a very nice touch! The breakfast every morning was incredible and we had plenty of options to choose from. Cannot recommend this place enough, the hosts are so so lovely.

We stayed here with my friend, and it exceeded everything we could have wished for! We have truly found a home here! Our hosts, Sanu and Dushan are absolute gems and are one of the kindest people we have ever encountered!! They took care of everything we could possibly need: transportation from the airport or to other beaches or temples. Booked tables for us at restaurants or booked our massages. Literally anything we needed, they were there to help! They were always around smiling and caring, and we had the loveliest talks with them! As two girls traveling alone, this was especially a bonus because we felt very safe throughout our trip! The whole villa, including the rooms were very clean and had great energy! The whole property was beautiful with a gorgeous big garden (garden is perfect for yoga, meditation, or anything peaceful you can put your mind to). The pool was amazing, great temperature and Aways clean! Our whole stay was truly a luxury with a super cozy vibe! BREAKFAST! Highlight! You will not get a better breakfast in Tangalle than here. It is absolutely amazing paired with the best tea! You have 4 choices to choose from everyday! Our personal favorite was the Sri Lankan breakfast! You Must try it! :))) Fun bonus! They have two adorable dogs, Tangi and Anton. They are playful and full of heart! LOVE the belly rubs! We really miss having them around, they really light up the place!! I attached some pictures, you'll see they are just the sweetest! You'll also find many animals wondering around the garden (all harmless), like frogs, turtles, peacock, monkey, iguana (or something like it), and so on. Quite fun to experience it all in one place :)) Will definitely come back here!! Miss you Sanu and Dushan, thank you for everything and all the beautiful memories! To be continued!

Everything! It was the absolute best accommodation of our whole trip. Owners were incredibly helpful, friendly and cooked the best breakfast! The rooms were divine, comfortable beds, clean and very thoughtful little touches like a teddy was in our rooms for our little ones. Pool was beautiful hang out zone. The design/decor was blush pink perfection. Would definitely go back!!!

Villa don Bastian is a wonderfull place. please go to Tangale, it's a quiet beach and they come rare in Sri lanka. Villa Don Bastian is a little hidden paradise. The pool is amazing, the rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, the location is the best in town and the food is so good. We've had some real bad experiences in Sri Lanka with houses with bad humidity problems and very runned down. This is not like that, its is a very well maintained Villa. The owners are always around to take care of everything but also give you privacy, they will help you and always give great advise on places to visit or to go have diner. Definitely recommend :)

Our time at Villa Don Bastian was truly special. The place is just beautiful, every little detail is so well thought out. The rooms are lovely, and the pool area feels like a little oasis surrounded by lush greenery. Knowing the villa has been in Sanu's family for over 100 years adds to its charm. Sanu and Dushan were amazing hosts, always there to help and share their local knowledge. The breakfast, served by Dushan each morning was amazing, and reflects their dedication and pride in their establishment. We can't recommend Villa Don Bastian enough – it's a solid 10/10 from us.

It is stunning and perfectly located. Hosted by one of the best hosts we’ve come across. She’s absolutely wonderful and considerate. We had to leave to the airport early so she packed us breakfast at 5 am. We felt well taken care of as we left home from Sri Lanka. Wish we’d stayed longer.

We have never met so kind and unique Hosts in our whole travel adventure (not only in Sri Lanka). Sanu and Dushan are wonderful, helpful, always with a smile on their faces. We could always rely on them. The most common words that Sanu has said were: „no worries 😊”. The Villa was like a tropical heaven- designed in an extraordinary style. The swimming pool was the place where we could spent mornings and evenings- surrounded by beautiful greenery. Breakfasts were delicious, there was a variety to choose from. For us the best options are definitely pancakes with homemade chocolate and cashew nuts sauce and Sri Lankan breakfast with prawns. We highly recommend this extraordinary place. We felt like we were at home. To sum up the note is 11/10 😊😊😊

We had a wonderful stay with Sanu and Dashun. The villa is beautiful, clean, nice and quiet but close to many restaurants and stunning beaches. However, the best thing about this place are the hosts themselves. From the minute we arrived they were so welcoming and made our trip not only in Tangalle but the rest of our Sri Lanka adventure one to remember. Villa Don Bastian is absolutely beautiful. Stylishly decorated and clean. The breakfasts were the best we had in Sri Lanka. Our children were so happy there and we were all so sad to leave. Real Gem in Tangalle - family owned Villa from 18th century beautifully renovated with a tasteful mix of history and modern times. The owners and hosts Sanu and Dishan put a lot of heart into the place and into their guests and you feel that at any time. Great recommendations and always there to help. The beach is across the street, many restaurants and bars in walking distance. Yummy breakfast. True recommendation, would always go there again.

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was definitely our favourite accomodation in Sri Lanka and we hope to return on our next visit. The owners are both very lovely, helpful and accomodating and provide great advice about where to go in Sri Lanka. The breakfast was delicious and Sanu and Dushan went out of their way to prepare us a vegetarian breakfast each morning. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated, along with the main area and pool. The location is perfect, walking distance to restaurants and beach. Tangi and Anton (their pet dogs) are also very cute!We will definitely miss this place and the doggies. Thanks for a great stay
