Lovely family, absolutely beautiful garden with sweet little huts. I felt like home. Saman, the owner, was always around when I needed something, always up for good advise or ideas what I could do but never pushing anything. It was just great and I'm looking forward to come again!

The best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka! Saman and his family were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Also, the dinner we had there was great and tasty. The location is very close to the sea and turtle station, area is very calm and relaxing. We could use Saman’s scooter for tour around the city and surroundings. We really enjoyed the night turtle watching tour organised by Saman. At first, we planned to stay just one night, but the place is so beautiful and cozy so that we decided to stay three nights! Would recommend staying here to our friends!

Our accommodation was located in the middle of nature , we could see beautiful birds and monkeys from our porch. The homestay is also close to an amazing beach which we had all for ourselves. Saman, our host was amazing, fun, full of great tips and advice, kind and patient. We did the turtle tour at night with him and it was an incredible experience, we saw many turtles, making their nests, laying eggs, and coming out of the sea. Saman was very knowledgeable and could answer all our questions. We also had breakfast there and it was very nice. Highly recommend the place!

Good large clean room in a beautiful garden where you can relax and watch all the wild life. The food prepared by Samans mother and sister was plentiful and very tasty. The beach is only a few minutes away and you can go to sleep listening to the sound of the waves. A wonderful homestay. Hope to return.

Saman and his family are so friendly and helpful. The food was just delicious and every day I got something else for breakfast, really nice. You can go directly with Saman to see the turtles in the evening! I had a great stay there and would like to come back :) Thanks a lot!

Really nice place, big garden with shadow spots which give you possibility to chill out there. The one thing I wish I could use is a comfy chair or hammock, that would make this chill even better. Simple but delicious breakfast. We also loved the full fish served on dinner. The place is located next to the turtle center. The guys from the center walk on the beach and look for the turtles which lay eggs every night. It's great activity to join them. The owner is friendly and sociable which make the Peacock Family stay really great place to socialize with others. The nearest beach is not the best place to swim because the waves are big, but you can easily go for example to silent beach which is close by. I would definitelly recommend this place, thank you ♥️🙏

It was hot in the room even with the fan.

We were warmly welcome by Saman, his family with a juice. The family stay is in a quiet environment, with peacocks passing in the garden, squirrels, birds and lezards. Shells are used to decorate the Homestay is pretty well done. We are close to the beach so convenient to walk on the beach and observe babies turtles running to the sea. The volunteers are doing a great job. We were with Saman to observe the turtles coming from the sea to lay down their eggs. Both observation were ethical, calm, with the light of the sky and sometimes red light. The breakfast, and dinner were delicious thank you to the mother and sister for cooking fresh food. Neyma, the brother is a safe Tuk Tuk driver.

The ideal place to stay if you want a place super near to an amazing beach with a forest of coconuts!! The area is perfect for relaxing and enjoy the sea of Sri Lanka! The rooms were clean, very quiet with a Sri Lanka style decoration 🙂We loved it! We had also dinner in the garden area which was also beautiful and the food tasty!!!The breakfast too!!! But overall our best memory was Saman! The son of the family of the peacock place..We missed him already, amazing guy, friendly, polite and will help you in whatever you need! And if you are lucky an amazing night experience in the beach with the birth of small sea turtles is waiting for you there !!!

When I say secluded and quiet on the location🏖 This was absolutely fantastic for me but wouldn't be for everyone🤔 It is a bit "off the beaten track" There's only sea and sand in close proximity to Saman's Guest House. I'd say your at least 1 mile away from any main road or shop

The host was like an old time buddy,someone I'd known all my life! He'll take you out around 9pm searching the beach for tracks and giant sea turtles laying eggs. He charges a small fee but it's really not much and you could be out for up to 3 hours,sitting,waiting in the dark for these turtles to appear. It's really exciting,no lights and this Guy Saman really has infra-red vision. I could barely see my hands in front of me yet he spotted a turtle that was at least 50 metres away! Very quiet and almost secluded area. You'll have the whole beach to yourself in the day,you can even go skinny dipping😅 One of the very few places in Sri Lanka where you can do something like that😅

Saman was a great host and made our stay perfect. He took us to the beach at night and found a green turtle laying her eggs. We stayed until the turtle returned to the sea. It was such a special experience. Saman shared so much of his knowledge with us. Our breakfast was great and we loved eating helapa for the first time. It was delicious. Thanks Saman for looking after us so well.

This pleasant place will allow you to forget about life in a big city and plunge into nature. The wild beach is only a few minutes away, here you can and should merge with nature. The beach is so clean that turtles come here to accommodate their offspring. Peacocks live on the territory, they feel at home here. It's charming!
