We are a family and we loved ANB Surf View. It was perfect. We had the upstairs room, which was spacious and clean and had a little kitchen. The kitchen was handy for making some snacks for the kids after a few weeks of travelling. The terrace out the front was great for relaxing, looking over the gorgeous garden. The owners were so helpful and friendly. And the breakfasts were superb! Great location, just a short wander down to the beach - we all spent hours in the water. We hired surfboards from the friendly guy at the beach and watched the turtles surfacing for air.

Nothing- everything was perfect.

We absolutely loved this place. Manoj, the host looked after us extremely well, nothing was too much trouble and he, his wife and family are really welcoming people. The place itself is a little paradise and which is very well maintained. View of the bay was outstanding and we sat marvelling at monkeys, peacocks, squirrels and a vast array of birds from the balcony, including fireflies at night. A 2 minute walk to the beach where you can swim all the time and watch the surfers do their stuff. It was so beautiful we extended our stay. Breakfast was both huge and tasty, something different every day.

Perfect !

Loved this place ! I could have stayed there forever :) Everything is good quality — hard wood floors, nice cotton, the bed is firm, no flashing lights from the a/c when you try to go to sleep. I didn’t see a single insect. I had hoped to be closer to Tangalle, but ended up here, which was a blessing in disguise. The beach 2 min away was the least rough one (at Silent Beach, which is beautiful , I was knocked over by waves). The restaurant nearby — Wife’s Kitchen by Roshan was lovely for dinner and the breakfast at ANB surf view was one of the best I had. I have many dietary issues and they so beautifully prepared me a wonderful breakfast. This is a very hard working couple! (The pic of the room is after I stayed in it ! )

All was good.

Lovely spot, very close to a small, calm beach. The veranda was large enough for a table, lawn chairs, and drying rack. It was surrounded by beautiful plants and trees. We saw the peacock next door. Great breakfast. Clean.

Picking holes but some yogurt and more fruit at breakfast vs all the egg would have been lovely. Bathroom was classic SL wet room style, so usual wet everything, but in this weather dries in no time.

The beach could be cleaner.

We stayed 5 nights in the family unit at the top floor and had a great time. The room is big and has a nice balcony with with ocean view and a colorful peacock hanging out on the neighbor house. The place is run by a lovely family that'll do all they can to make your stay comfortable. They provide a fantastic breakfast - huge, tasty and with new items every day. They make tuna with spicy sauce on top that we really enjoyed a lot. You're only a few steps from the Unakuruwa Bay and a nice 5 min. walk to Silent beach. Tangalle town is 10 mins/1000 rs by tuk-tuk. There a number of places to eat nearby and "Wife's Kitchen by Roshan" was our absolute favorite.

Very warm welcome! Beautiful room with our own terrace, located just 2 minutes away from the first beach. The best breakfast! We stayed two nights and had two different types of breakfast!! Simply delicious! Clean rooms, comfortable bed! Fan and air conditioning! Highly recommend!

Nothing: it was wonderful

Calm, clean and beautiful. A 2 minute walk to an idyllic beach… there was even a small wave! Plus the breakfast was out of this world gorgeous and Manosh and his wife could not have been more hospitable

The breakfasts were amazing. We stayed for three nights, and on the middle day the host couple produced the most fantastic fish breakfast. The guest house is great, and is 1 min walk from a lovely beach cove which is very safe for swimming. The next door bay (20 min walk) has a fantastic restaurant located on the sand just above the waves. We had two wonderful evening meals there, including a spectacular one looking at a lightning storm far out to sea.

We really liked this hotel. We lived on the second floor in a large room with two large beds. There was air conditioning, a kitchenette, a refrigerator, a stove and a kettle. Large bathroom with hot shower and good water pressure. And the balcony on the second floor was simply magnificent. There was a good view and you could see a piece of the ocean. The balcony was very comfortable, there were even sun beds. We had a great time! Thanks to the owner and his wife!
