There were a few frogs/spiders in our bathroom, but I got used to them pretty quickly. The ceiling fan in my friends room apparently didn't work so well during the night.

Such a peaceful location with a very nice view overlooking a field with many animals chilling here and there. Super friendly host who cooked breakfast for us and drove us around in his tuktuk. Definitely a hidden gem!

The best Guesthouse in Tangalle! Surrounded by nature. Very quiet location perfect for relaxation. You can spot plenty of animals around. They serve very tasty meals if you wish for an extra fee but it's definitely worth the money! I can really recommend this place 10/10 !

Indhika is an amazing host, so kind and interesting and told us about all the wildlife at the property and showed up how to make coconut milk. His wife cooks amazing food. The property is in a lovely peaceful setting and he can give you lifts to the beach etc in his tuk tuk. Would highly recommend. Felt so at home and peaceful here.

A quiet nest where to relax and recharge . five minutes by motorbike from Tangalle beach ! Hindika built everything by himself and he’s very proud of it . amazing bed, clean room and good shower. a nice view on a lagoon with many birds and buffalos! They can provide a good breakfast and Hindika even showed me how to get milk from coconut 😊 if you are planning to stop in Tangalle that’s a good and at a very reasonable price accommodation .

Where I should start? Thank you very much Indika for the amazing experience, you're the best host! The room was very spacious, clean and the view is amazing, just surrounded by the nature and the noise of the birds. I loved the food cooked by heart and there is also refill fresh water so no bottles of plastic needed. I sincerely recommend this amazing and unique place! Indika and his family are the kindest, most caring, and lovely people! Everything here is handmade and done with love. The rooms are clean and cozy. The food (and we've been to many places) - was ooooh so delicious!! It's so peaceful around, no car noises, only birds singing. It felt like we were in a bird sanctuary! And there were buffaloes around, very funny ones :) I highly recommend it to everyone, you won't regret it, it's a unique place

Indhika made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. We will miss our daily breakfast on the balcony while watching the water buffaloes. The place is clean and a 5 minute scoot to the beach or town. It really is amazing value for the money as well.

my partner and I absolutely loved our stay with Indika and his wife. We were supposed to stay one night but ended up staying 5. The place has a view over a wet area with many birds and buffalos, it is a very special place! Indika will with joy take you for tours and kayak around. The food is also so good, every day a little different. We were lucky to attend a birthday party of their grandchild and meet the whole family! Do yourself a favor and go here, you will not regret it

y first night I stayed somewhere they had a DJ until 5am. I vowed to leave the next morning, but I soon found Indikha and Three Little Birds on booking.com. As I was walking to his place from town, he drove by in his tuk tuk and beeped me giving me a huge smile. He was so happy to see me and told me to jump in for the lift home. When I arrived, I felt so welcome and like an extremely special guest in this family’s home. It was his wife’s birthday and the whole family came around, they cooked a delicious big meal for us all which was one of the best meals I had. I soon decided that this was my favourite spot in Sri Lanka, I watched the sunset and the birds flying over the viewing platform and had several rides in Indikhas tuk tuk. We shared many lovely conversations and I felt like I had found my family away from home. This homestay is the reason I love to travel, to meet amazing people and I want to thank Indikha, his family and the Three Little Birds for making me feel so welcome. The food was delicious, the room was spectacular with a four poster bed and beautiful views and the company just topped it all off. I will be back 💕

Indika (host) received us just like we were in our home :) The room was very good, clean, with a good toilette, with fan and a balcony. The space is very quiet and it is surrounded by nature. We also had breakfast which was amazing! And if needed indika can also give you rides in his tuk tuk. The location is good since it is very close to the beach. Three little birds is a terrific place. For just a few dollars, you can stay in a stunning location where you'll enjoy the jungle as well as the beach. The beach is about 15 mins away (by bicycle, you can rent a really nice one at the property) and during my stay, the nearby beach was super empty and serene (so if you're looking for tranquillity, this could be your place). Also, at nights, you fall asleep to the sounds of waves crashing at the shore (the sea is quite rough here and you can hear it from afar). The owner was super helpful and took care of all my needs. The meals I had at the property were delicious. The room itself surprised me pleasantly. It didn't feel too hot, it was nicely designed, it had a chic and modern bathroom and there was no mould anywhere. The mattress and the bed were meticulously clean and super comfortable. And if you get a room with a terrace, you'll enjoy a dazzling view. You may even see fireflies at night. The Wifi was great and I was able to work from there as well.

It was one of the best accommodations we stayed at so far! The hosts, Indika and his wife, are so lovely and helpful. Indika told us a lot about his life, Sri Lanka, the places nearby and taught us how to make coconut milk. The food was delicious (Rice and Curry in the evening and very nice breakfast with fruits, pancakes and more) and they do your laundry for you. The room was clean and the balcony with a hammock was very chill, you have a nice view there. Your completely in the nature, birds and chipmunks around you 😊

We had a great time in Three Little Birds. we had a chance to get to know the local culture better, made coconut milk, walked around the area. The food was excellent, and we could have a look how to make some of the dishes we had. the whole family was really helpful and open to us and they have a really cute dog. nature was right at our doorstep, but didn’t come into the room (no bugs or whatsoever in the room). we could rent some bikes from Indhika, which made it faster and easier to go to the beach and to the center of Tangalle.
