Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThe only thing I can complain is the room size, it was really narrow and if you hace large luggage its a bit difficult to open them. But again, Its Japan and room sizes tend to be small
It was literally above the metro station which was really good. The hotel room was comfortable and clean, the bed was really comfortable. They give you slippers and pajamas which they change every day.

AustraliaNot much to dislike except the shared lift but that was only an issue when you're busting for the loo 😆
Another great place to stay. Excellent staff and facilities - breakfast options not as good as Kyoto though. Lift access was a bit average sharing with mall but close to train, food, restaurants, shops, and the best cake shop right downstairs. Big spacious rooms and excellent bathroom facilities.

United KingdomThere’s no issue with the hotel. As I stayed for almost two weeks buffet breakfast can lack variety but this is just my personal opinion, but for travelers who stay for a few days it provides good selection of breakfast. It’d be great if they can offer more selection of fresh fruit but I also understood the hotel try to minimize food waste.
Location - just off the Keihan line or JR and walk across to take an elevator to the hotel and extremely convenient. Easy to get to Kyoto or downtown Osaka. Also easily walking distance to Osaka castle, easy access for shopping and restaurants etc. My single room is spacious enough, clean and the bed was comfortable. Buffet breakfast is good too.

MalaysiaWe booked for 3 nights and the last day of stay, we had to leave early due to our flight was in the morning therefore we couldn't have breakfast though we paid for breakfast throughout our stay. There was no refund nor able to provide simple packed breakfast for takeaway. Would have appreciated if especially the kids could have something to eat before departure.
We were there for holiday and it's situated just by the train station which was convenient. Hotel is worth the stay. Kids loved the room and facility.

AustraliaYou can hear the trains from the window. Although I guess that is the trade off of booking a hotel inside the station.
I really like the location because I had business at Tsurumi Ryokuchi in the morning (parkrun :). This is the only hotel that has a direct line to that place. Also, it is literally in the station, although not the Nagahori subway where you have to walk 7 minutes to the platform. But JR and Keihan are literally in front of the hotel. The price is reasonable and good value for money. Hotel is fairly clean and the staff really try clean it (observed them doing their job and they are not just passing by pretending to clean).

United States of AmericaIt's not a HUGE issue but if you are from an English speaking country, get ready because the staffs don't speak English so be prepared for that. They do have a machine for you to check in but if you have a complaint, it's going to be a struggle. I asked if they have a clean up/don't disturb sign and they had no idea what i was talking about. I even showed them a picture of what it is and they were still confused. However, they tidy up your room every day at noon, so for those wanting there room cleaned, that problem is solved but if you want no disturbance, well good luck. You'll have to tell the staff that you don't want your room touched and they will follow through. But, again, good luck with the language barrier. Yes, i know it's Japan and they only speak Japanese so make sure you bring your translating app with yall.
The location is awesome. Sort of in the middle of most attraction places. It's connected to the station, so as soon as you get off Kyobashi station, BOOM! Your hotel elevator is right there to take you up. The staffs are super nice. Lots of good food around that area as well. The rooms are so nice and so clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was neatly furnished. What's even nicer is that they have a money exchange machine right by the reception desk of the hotel, so no need to travel far to get your cash. When it ran out of money, they were able to refill it right away for me, so thumbs up for that.

SingaporeThe electrical shut down for maintenance after midnight and the aircon was off but it did not affect much due to cooler weather on the day I stayed.
The location is good as it is near my office so I can walk over to the office instead of using public transportation. The breakfast was good as I was expecting a simple breakfast but it turned out that the breakfast spread is pretty good. Overall good experiences.
