Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

I accidentally drop my bad in the hotel, the hotel staffs kept it for me. The hotel staff also change the direction of elevator so we don't need to carry our luggage down the stairs

SingaporeStaff (a lady) was rude and impatient during our check-in. Appeared very impatient when we clarified that we were actually checking-in even though we have deposited our luggage earlier in the day (before the official check-in time). Seems like there’s no proper hand-over between hotel reception staff working on different shifts.
Location is really good and very near to Ikebukuro station.

SerbiaAlthough I am aware of apartment sizes in Tokyo, one storage space would be grate. Also, we generally sleep with earplugs so we don't mind, but some could find passing trains noisy.
Great location, just near one of the largest train stations. Ikebukuro is like a hidden gem of Tokio. Hotel was clean, facilities as expected, staff polite. Price was also acceptable..

IndonesiaLack of staff communication skill in English. The staff had to use google translator almost all the time. This made us difficult in undestanding, and vise versa. It would be very important to have staff that are at least moderate in English skill. However, they’re very helpful.

PhilippinesOur room really disappointed us especially the bathroom. It was so cramped you can barely fit! There might have been a leak in the sink.
The hotel was really near the train station and has numerous restaurants nearby. Ikebukuro is a fantastic area to stay at. Staff were really nice and helpful. They offer a lot of amenities that you can get from the lobby before you go to your room

SingaporeGiven that the hotel is next to the train track, be ready to hear the sound of the train traffic as early as 5+am as the sound proof is not really good. There is only one escalator ... which goes downwards in the morning and upwards in the evening...else you need to use stairs for 1 level which is not a big deal unless you are with luagges
Literally 1min walk from Ikeburoko East exit (Parco), Family Mart interconnected to the hotel for a quick bite. Amenities available at the lobby which is super convenient. Impressive that the family room can fit 4 beds so each of us have our own bed which is great for a good rest

United States of AmericaThe rooms were REALLY REALLY tiny. We did a lot of shopping so packing 4 suitcases was kinda insane. And even during the stay there was just so little space. (But the location was so worth it and I'll stay here again even knowing this.) Getting a taxi was kinda annoying so just make sure you have uber or have a different back up plan.
Location was so important for me because I wanted somewhere convenient. It was super convenient and really easy to get to. I'll go back to this hotel just for the convenience. The staff were also super nice! They can speak English just fine. You can hold luggage after you check out which is awesome. During your stay they change out your slippers, PJs and towels every single night.
